I walked into the local music shop today and played a Red Special for the first time.

I need suggestions on how to get $2000 before some other fuck buys the thing. "Get a job" is a legitimate answer, don't worry, I'm already trying to find one.

But yeah, give me other answers like 'ransom rich people' or 'sell your virginity on eBay'. But seriously, help me figure this shit out before someone buys the thing...
I played it in the shop and it was *beautiful*.
Built your own red special

just like brian

and just like me

There's a thought!

Then again, if you'd seen the last thing I built in woodwork, you wouldn't suggest such things :D I can play these things, but I don't think I could build one.
have you got anything you don't use??

do you??

Ok...

what about taking out a loan? (and let your parents sign it for instance)... then you pay back the money to them on a monthly basis?

2000 USD * 24 months = 91 USD/month
(9% interestrate calculated) ;-)

What about that? (that's how I financed my first electrical Roland Piano, well on an interestrate of 3,5% ;-)

Sell any of your other guitars. I reckon you won't be needing 'em.
Creativity can always cover for a lack of knowledge.

Heh, I've got one other electric, but it's my baby, I've played it since I was 11 :(

My dad owes me around 3000 but I sort of... need that money for tuition next year.
If I sell a pancake with the face of Jesus Christ in it, would that fetch a lot of money? People are buying stupid things all the time.
I'm getting one soon, for my birthday which isn't so far away.... :D

The pancake idea is good! ;-P

Birthday? You don't need a Red Special, you can play mine. Come to Perth!

Haha -

Hey look all, I'm thinking of just claiming the money my Dad owes me (muahaha) and buying the fucking thing before someone else does.

If I do this, it's a good move right? Like - I'll at least get a bit of money back off it if I have to get rid of it?
Try to ask Greg while he's here...
I'm offended, I asked him about Face it Alone and he didn't answer. Maybe even HE doesn't have a copy.
College tuition is more important than a guitar, in my opinion. Red Special or not.

So yeah, bad decision there.
Well there's the rub, I can probably afford both if I'm careful, and at the moment the guitar I'm using for TAFE is in real bad shape.

That and it's a *really* nice guitar, it just felt so nice playing haha.
start a dog buisness or whatever its called..sell each puppy at $500
or like Great Danes cost $2000 each
