I think I have posted about this several times. The time lapse is utterly ridiculous. I'd love to see the project turnaround time for the Beatles' Anthologies...Dylan's Bootleg stuff...even The Who's Maximum R'n'B (an excellent, highly recommended package). It's never going to match 14 years.
What was the turnaround time for the Freddie boxset, from concept to delivery?
And can I say, if the best they have to offer are the demo's and odds and sods that I've listened to in the past, they can fucking keep them. There's a reason half that stuff wasn't on albums...
Also, I hope any live offering has a fuck's sake better quality than those offered through QOL's bootleg sections.

sorry but im with Greg on this case, there have been multiple times when someone asked a very good question to Greg, and then before he got a chance to answer some fucked up twat (pardon my french) would jump in and demand some uploads or some releases by QPL. and when Greg tells us politly he cant answer the question or do the "DEMANDED" task, he gets a gob ful back, as if he is being selfish and keeping it to himself. QPL and Greg have there reasons for not releasing material!

Why are you closing your mind to the possiblity that someone else's work may be better than Greg's?
I think you need to realize that the fact that Greg is employed by Queen Productions doesn't make him free of flaws, both in personality and output of work. You obviously must be blind as a bat if you can read Greg's posts here and still inherently support him.

The fact is that it appears that no one connected with the QPL organisation actually does any sanity checking or any proof-reading. How can it be that OFFICIALLY sanctioned product that is so UTTERLY flawed can be allowed to hit the street? Not only in it's first edition (which you can kind of excuse in some ways), but in a revised edition which is absolutely inexcuseable as there appears to have been no revision of the original material. It's nothing more than laziness and an apathy towards the fan base that has grown ever since Freddie's death.

These are the people that seem to be under the impression that if they remain positive and chummy towards Greg, they will be in some kind of privellaged position when it comes to him looking forhelp again. They believe that he will remember the people that supported him and perhaps let them in on some of the *secrets* or have a preview of some kind of rarity. They live in some bizarre world of fantasy which makes them believe that they are in the "inner circle" just because they have had an e-mail from the guy. It's strangely pathetic really but funny in equal measure.
Until professionals are employed to handle the band's catalogue and history, we will continue to have these debates and we will also continually have the decision to make as to whether to take a chance on buying further Queen product that is likely to be sub-standard.

I have to agree with the last two speakers!
Not only is his work well below par ( I work in a world where the client is king and mistakes in proof-reading that slip though can cost thousands to put right, we simply don't allow things to go out at that level) but also his conduct towards anyone that questions him is appauling.

Guess what- I was bloody wrong! The book is so bad it actually contardict itself. And you don't need to be Queen expert to notice that- just a bit of accuracy. The year 1973 is all wrong- he gives one setlist in text (copy / pasted few times), than in the section of USUAL SETLISTS (probably copy / pasted from Martin's site) ge gives a setlist that doesn't match ANY setlist that he has provided in the main text6!!! So how come is it the usual one? Hell, is this not an embarassing mistake? Anyway- i guess THEY printed wrong page...

Hahaha... yeah, it doesn't take much to notice that error, too. He got only ONE setlist from US 1974 correct... Portland. And that's only because I sent it to him! I sent that one particularly because he got it wrong in the first book, and I assumed he'd get the other ones from the tour right... I made the same kind of assumption Fenderek made: "He's the archivist, so he should have the resources to get the other setlists." But now I've learned never to make assumptions, especially when it comes to Greg. Everything he says, does, and writes, I question it and think about it before taking it as truth.
