Wow! Thanks!
It's so touching and I almost shed tears with the lyrics and the beautiful voice.
I've heard the voice somewhere and sometime in the past, yeah she reminds me of someone...but I'm not sure...I'd like to know who's singing that!

I got all choked up about a minute into it. Whoever's singing has a heck of a lot of talent. One of the best I've seen.
"She" reminds me of Charlene whose song I know is "I've never been to me", but I don't have any clue.
Her voice kinda reminds me of Karen Carpenter in a way, and it has the 70's sound to it, but highly unlikely her.
could it be Sheena Easton?
Charlene sounds like that too, i agree...
absolutely fab! should be released officially i think...this kind of tribute-song is really worthwhile...the voice that sings this song is so beautiful...and the words so well chosen too... Maybe it fits is ben Elton's sequel to the musical....? Maybe it comes from there, and did they record it with a musical-star as a trial to see what kind of responses come...? Then they should also include "You Are the Only One" in that as far as i'm concerned....

You're right. I just read that she's a Queen fan and her childhood idol was Freddie Mercury. Way to go, stateside fan! Thanx:)

Then if it's her, what's the song title? And on what CD can we find this?
(I listened to some sound bytes. I don't think it's her)...

I don't think it was her either, i will try some more resources
Edit: I do hear record pops in the song! Prolly Karen Carpenter or similar in the 70's/early 80's, someone said Kate Melua but i don't think so
