Why these songs were not played???

First of all, it wasn't a Freddie tribute concert, and even so, they still gave their fair share of appreciation to Freddie. So be happy with what they gave you. =)

Made In Heaven wouldn't work for Paul, Brian or Roger vocally.

As for the other three, with 'Love of my life', 'These are the days of our lives' and 'Bo Rhap', any more morbid Freddie songs would cross the border of sappy. They certainly could have swithed 'Days of our Lives' for 'No One But You' or something.

I think they planned on mixing it up more during the U.S. tour but couldn't with Brian's back injury.

What about Now I'm Here and Spread Your Wings????

at least those or something from the early albums

Why the F wasn't "Body Language" played, damn...I was waiting all night for that one in Buffalo...

If there were any tracks I wanted them to play and I think that would suit Paul that would be rather stuff like IT'S LATE, HEADLONG, SOMEBODY TO LOVE, GET DOWN MAKE LOVE, SLEEPING ON THE SIDEWALK, INNUENDO; THANK GOD they didn't play NOBY- that would be (as few ppl already pointed out) a bit too much...

The most fucking incredible thing is that they said that much more material from the 70's would be played, and what do we find? Dragon Attack (although very tight and good it was from 1980), no '39 (1975) and nothing from the first 3 albums (except the "Brighton Rock" excerpt in Brian Solo). This is not what they promised.

I didnt really care what wasn't played in cardiff, it was good anyway so why quibble. Although SWEET LADY would have been nice :)

I think they didn't play those songs because they didn't rehearsed them, but that is just a wild guess I know

I think too that we might have some good (or bad but I don't think so) surprises when they will tour in 2007. Roger said "we don't want to be revivalists"; so they won't be doing doing so much Queen songs; but if they do some from the last it cannot be something else than WWRY, WATC, TYMD. And Paul will not forget ARNow I guess; but as for the other songs, I think that there will be something very new and very good (and I think too that they won't be doing much old stuff from Queen, because of what Roger said, and because they have some sense of what could be boring or not) IMHO!

If there's a song from the Queen catalogue that PR should be singing, it's White Man.

Too much love will kill you -- Not strong enough of a song.

No One But You -- Too much boo-hoo over Freddie is a downer at a live show. Bo Rhap, Days and Love Of My Life are plenty enough, and better, more popular live choices.

Mother Love -- More on the too much crying factor, but also, who's going to sing it? Brian starts it off, but nobody's going to do it justice on each of the Freddie parts, which is 90% of the song.

Made In Heaven -- I couldn't imagine Paul or Brian singing this song well, and Roger's version would be so different it would be weird. It's hard to imagine someone other than Freddie doing this song(although the Brian/Roger version of 'I Was Born To Love You' was a complete shock to me both that they did it, and more in how wonderful it turned out).

The songs I was surprised to not hear even once this past tour are Now I'm Here, Stone Cold Crazy, Save Me, Heaven For Everyone, Mustapha, White Man, It's Late and Shooting Star. Those are a combination of past live regulars, hits Paul can do, Album tracks that Paul is perfect for and I really thought we'd hear Roger sing Heaven For Everyone at least once on the tour. The only one of these that I was kind of pissed about was It's Late. I think Paul is perfect for it and I really think it would have excited a lot of us. They made up for it when they put Dragon Attack into the set.
