It's me again with some questions about this video. I know Freddie was very sick around this time the video was filmed. Does anyone think he looks like a girl with all of his make up on? Freddie just dosen't look like himself in this video. Also, what are those things on Brian's fingers? Why did they move away from Freddie when he sat down on the couch near the beginning of the video? Why did Brian frown when Roger nodded to him? Just wanted to know what you guys think. This video is one of my favorites. Thanks!! :-)

Woah, lots of questions.
Those are long fingernails or "claws" on Brian's fingers. I think when Freddie moved on the couch they moved away from him becuase he's going "Slighty Mad." I dont think Freddie looks like a girl though.

I have behide the sences of that video and BOY IS IT FUNNY. The penguen does a shit near Roger and Freddie, Roger JUST relises it and gets up and gos "Ahhhhhhhhh" and then Freddie laughs and says, "Roger, what did you do!"

For months I was trying to figure out who I thought he looked like, or who he reminded me of, in that last bit before the final ascending bass line. It looks like he's having a mini-chuckle/shrug about something, and looking off in the distance. He looks beautiful in that moment.
One day I finally figured it out, and it made me smile and choke up simultaneously.

Jim Hutton didn't recognize Freddie during that video shoot, Jim walked right by him and then glanced at Freddie again. That's how different he looked compared to normal days.

You make it sound as though youre the only one that has the footage. It was shown on the BBC the night after Freddie died in a documentary produced by Janet Street Porter and its also widely available on the Champions of the World video from 95.

Thanks, I just wanted to know what you all thought about the video. I know it may seem like I'm analyzing things.. Sorry if I upset you all, but I just had those few questions. I'm not trying to poke fun at Freddie for thinking that at first he looked like a girl. When I saw the video for the first time, I thought he didn't look like himself. But as I watched it more and more, He became more beautiful. His looks became more and more peaceful. This video is one of my favorites, and I always love to find out the true meaning of the song (this one and others). And like I said before Freddie was beautiful in that video. :-)
No lies, when I first saw the stills of Freddie in this video I thought it was some project from the 70s.
This is probably one of their greatest videos. It's not overly done like Radio Ga Ga (sorry for fans of that video ..;) ) but still very creative.
