Yes!!! i was, and still fume about it right now!! Because of it, we have to suffer and i have this other shit thrown in my face... like the hip-hop and emo bands...
Thats why i take my MP3 player everywhere and j/ have QUEEN cranked...
But please don't punish the rest of us fans here who love QUEEN so much like myself. And as im only 16, thered be no way id make it to Europe at this point to see one of their shows. And i wouldnt be surprised if they didnt come back again because of it all. Like i wanted to yell at everyone at the Buffalo show because overall, the participation was horrible. There were a few exceptions that i saw, but myself, i sang along to every song and screamed till my throat almost bled...
This band means alot to me. So lets not generalize about the overall people in a country. But i must admit, in most aspects saying that Queen shouldnt have bothered to come here makes complete sense. But I'm thankful as all hell because it was the GREATEST night of my life.
Sigh. Some people just don't get it. Innuendo was le awesome. Those high notes Freddie hits in Don't Try So Hard! The low notes in Ride the Wild Wind! Everyyyyything about The Show Must Go On! The album was just awesome. And of course, I'm Going Slightly Mad :) And I Can't Live With You is the BEST song to play Bomberman to! (I know this from experience.) Wow, all this makes me need to go listen to Innuendo...

Thanks love! Cheers. There are great people out there! :-D
Now back to the matter at hand :-D

F*** the Critics darling, they dont know a bleeding thing....
it is interesting though to read the past album reviews of the band though. its interesting cos today queen are now considered in retrospect one of the worlds premier bands. but when freddie was around that definately wasnt the case. it pisses me off in a way. its almost a re-writing of history. since the first queen album i listened to, which was sha, i dont think i ever read a good review (bear in mind the music papers were melody maker, nme, rolling stone, sounds, smash hits), and any slightly positive review was done with clenched teeth. i think innuendo was the 1st review that was unashamedly positive.

Well, I think by 1991, Queen had sold so many records and stayed at the top for so long that the pretentious magazines had to take a re-evlauation. The praise for Innuendo was grudging I think, but it was an awful lot better than anything before it.

Why does my country suck so bad? I mean really, we are so messed up! How can I possibly be loyal to my country when our stupid critics say crap like that! We use up so much oil, have an idiot president, went to war with a country who did nothing to us, and NOW THIS? GET ME OUTTA HERE!!!!!!!!!!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cdoo21lvza8 ^greatest video ever made "If I get the answer wrong, you can kick me in the nuts" -Sean I am the most obsessed Queen fan.

Oh, yes, poor innocent Saddam! We were so mean to him... We should have just let him go on torturing and killing innocent civilians... Bush is sooooo much worse after all...

The Dallas Morning News tells us that Queen lost most of their support by 1984. that is just typical of an american article. america didn't like them anymore = the whole world didnt like them anymore! didnt they see Live Aid or then the Magic Tour, all after 1984 i believe. the Magic Tour of 1986 was Queen's biggest and most expensive tour ever and they didn't play one show in America but that didn't exist obviously. A Kind Of Magic the album reached #1 in the UKwhen released same as The Miracle and Innuendo, throw in Greatest Hits II getting to #1 and some singles like I Want it All (#3), A Kind Of Magic (#3), Breakthru (#7), Innuendo (#1), all before Freddie's death and thats some support Queen had lost!
all those critics had to spoil it for all of us in the US that loved queen. if only queen were only around during this time in the US maybe i couldve been a fan more early than 92 after the death of freddie. all i can say it thankgod for waynes world cus they seemed to bring queen to me and probably for many other fans too. i hate my country for what they did just because of the i want to break free video. it was before it time. just think it that video was made in the 90's it wouldnt have been such a big deal the amercian assholes that hated. i loved it!

Well i HATE HATE HATE AMERICAN PRESS AND POP CULTURE!
And i live here, was born here...
Drives me mad, they COMPLETELY disregard QUEEN and their SHEER GENIOUS yet glorify 50 Cent who hypes up gang life and "hustlin"...
That just goes to show you where this countries pop culture loyalties lie...
ITs bullshit...
Being from Dallas I'm disappointed in the Dallas Morning News short sighted opinion on Innuendo. I wish the site would've listed the writer. I'm prone to guess that a different writer wrote the Miracle review and this statement at the end made me think... I never really thought that muh about Freddie's laugh at the end of Was it all worth it.

A"nd with Was It All Worth It, Mr. Mercury takes a lofty look at the band's lengthy career, "Living breathing rock n' roll.' The conclusion? Yes, it was worth it. But given the singer's rather fiendish chortle at the end, you're not sure if he means it."
Where possible I have listed who the writer was.

Unfortunately I do not have that info for many items.
