Yes but YSM claims:

"My old friend filmed this in the front row and is superior as it was filmed with a Professional shot as he had access to his film class' cameras at the time"

I believe it when I see it and the sudden appearance of "John Farnham" does not increase my inclination to believe it...
I do not want any google ads here.
[QUOTE][QUOTENAME]JFarnham wrote: [/QUOTENAME]Hi there everybody! I come here to clear up some confusion. The Stratman is an honest mate, i have known him for many of years now, and i will tell you that when i went to his home recording studio to record, he showed me his 'Shrine' And it is what he says that it is. I have also been able to view the Sunbury gig, and i was there performing that night so i know there was at least 2 others filmin also. So take it easy on the lad, he is good people. Good day, and i hope to make many new friends here.[/QUOTE]

Its getting better ... ahahahaha. At least its not boring in the office these days. Guys if next week we are able to download Sunbury on DVD, i promise to add another DVD of rare stuff... and that will include Lakeland 78. Its a promise!
I'm starting to wonder if CABBAGE or BPP is a more interesting poster than Greg Brooks. I can only dream of being insulted by someone so extraordinary. Some of you Zoners should feel damn lucky!
[QUOTE][QUOTENAME]Queen Archivist wrote: [/QUOTENAME]To Serry, in Russia, who bored us all with this nonsense...

===> Greg do you use these type of phrases as it seems you are trying to "attack someone" <-

QP will never receive a lot of rare recordings which are in private archives, because of... YOU!

===> Greg, to be honest. It is NOWADAYS mostly because of YOUR attitude on a public messageboard as a representative of QP or its associates (that's how you are promoting yourself on this website) <-

You are talking out of your bottom-ski. If you believe that utter nonsense then you are a good deal madder than I first thought.

====> Greg, can you be diplomatic or use a different way of putting your words. The only opinion people get from your respones might be conveived as "offensive". Just a common advice to you.

People are always saying that they have THIS rare footage of Queen, or THAT concert - on 8mm, 16mm, 35mm, etc, etc. but when it comes to the crunch, they CANNOT actually supply it. Because of course most of them don't have it.

====> Ok this is your point. Can you give us a list of the footage regarding "THIS rare footage" of Queen? (you don't need to write down the names), just be so kind to tell us what people promised to provide you. Your statement does not make sense if you do not mention the things that were offered to you <-

I would say that Queen Productions receives roughly 5% of the items people say they have, and which they promise to send us samples of but never do - and then they diappear or make up some transparent excuse which we all see through.

====> Give us the examples instead of rambling! Without telling us the names of the people, be at least as polite to tell us WHAT you have been promised which was not delivered <-

NOW, here, on MoanZone.complain, someone is saying they have the Sunbury Australia concert - including 'Hangman'... but already they are backtracking!!!! BIG SURPRISE. Here come the excuses, you watch, there will be 'reasons' why it never happens.

====> GREG! Why do you say "Moanzone" ? Is this your way of communicating? If you think THIS IS "Moanzone" why do you come back to respond? If you think this is Queenzone.com I do expect a professional response instead of "moaning" like you have done in your previous post <-

Will a sample of Hangman from Sunbury appear on this site? Will it hell. It's just another load of bullshit by a QZ-er wanting to appear big in front of his QZ fellows.

====> GREG. You are many times so misinformed. Hence the fact that your book was full of mistakes as MANY people (including from "moanzone") have pointed out. Do not rule out the fact that there are recordings around that YOU or QP do not have (example: the Wembley rehearsal recordings which QP got through a privata collector). Why don't you assume that some people have certain stuff that YOU have not found in the Queen archives? At least be glad that some stuff is surfacing or will surface in the future, or maybe never (depending on the way YOU as mr Greg Brooks are behaving in public as a representative of the members of Queen its companies and affiliates!)

I assume you see the dammage you are creating among Queen fans. EVEN IF YOU DO NOT AGREE, still it is advisable to stay DIPLOMATIC in the interest of the people who PAY YOUR SALARY! (excuse me for using the "GB Caps Lock Key" <-

It happens all the time... people 'say' they have it, and some of them truly actually believe they have certain things - i mean they genuinely believe it. But... for one reason or another the rare gem NEVER (or very rarely) emerge. Most of you know this as well as i do. So you'll understand if I treat this latest claim with much doubt.

I have my doubts about the new friends, you know. I am not going to bother and email John Farnham asking him if he joined QZ because I know the answer. Since when has a "Federal Investigator" a recording studio at home? And wasn't it the ultimative excellent Hyde park video he (YoungStratMan) boasted to own last time GB posted here? I am surprised how many people fall for such a primitive wind up.
"he borrowed the camera of his film class" - lol. Did anybody check how expensive such a camera was in 1974 and you believe it was possible to borrow such an expensive item to take it to a Rock concert? In 1974 a Rock concert was not a mainstream social event, it was much too dangerous to bring a film camera. Not to mention the costs for the reels and you needed cables because there were no rechargeable batteries... [/QUOTE]

Hi there, i do not know you, and you do not know me, and you do not know YSM, so why the hostility? My joining this site had nothing to do with YSM, he is a long time friend of mine, and a very respectable man. Why try and discredit him? Are you trying to say that i am NOT who i say i am? Go ahead, this is childish! BTW, do you know what a Federal Investigator is or does exactly? lol He never said he was in the FBI! He investigates Federal copyrights and is a PT Copyright infringement Lawyer, but also happens to previously been in the music biz and still records for musicians on a time to time basis, make sense? So hard to beleive? My son has a studio in his extra bedroom, he doesn't make millions, so what's so hard to beleive? Again i am NOT a representative of YSM, but i feel if you feel the need to discredit this man, then i have to intervene, it's as simple as that. You would do the same for people you know very well, indeed.

[QUOTE][QUOTENAME]Serry... wrote: [/QUOTENAME]So many words (about my family even, what a brave English gentleman that Greg is!), but still no answers on two simple questions...[/QUOTE]

Hi there, don't worry there Serry, his actions will be condemned. I don't have an issue with the man as of yet, but don't worry about people who make those statements, anyone who acts upon hatred and dis-belief, will not live long enough to see thereself in the mirror until it's too late. I think you are a fine young man from what i have read on your posts. And he who avoids questions of curiosity, avoids shame and discredit! Remember that. Good day Serry

[QUOTE][QUOTENAME]the_hero wrote: [/QUOTENAME]YOu sound like a nice lad mr. Farnham.[/QUOTE]

Hi there, thanks for the compliment, i just wanted to speak my mind that is all, and there is a way of doing just that without being a wanker. I am enjoying my first couple of dawns here, hope to make new friends, young and old, and hopefully this fuss dies down and all the pussyfooting dies also. BTW, i like your username, it is after the Flash track right? Superb song. Good day mate.

Didn't the real John Farnham play the role of Jesus in the Australian cast of Jesus Christ Superstar once?
[QUOTE][QUOTENAME]the_hero wrote: [/QUOTENAME][QUOTE][QUOTENAME]« Jay » wrote: [/QUOTENAME]Didn't the real John Farnham play the role of Jesus in the Australian cast of Jesus Christ Superstar once?[/QUOTE]

It's the same guy that did We will rock you fast with Brian and Roger quite a while ago :-) + he sang You're the voice... which I really like.[/QUOTE]

Hi there, yes indeed I recorded WWRY with Queen in '03. And yes on the 'You're the voice', enough 'bout me now, your are making me a little uncomfortable. :)

[QUOTE][QUOTENAME]the_hero wrote: [/QUOTENAME][QUOTE][QUOTENAME]« Jay » wrote: [/QUOTENAME]Didn't the real John Farnham play the role of Jesus in the Australian cast of Jesus Christ Superstar once?[/QUOTE]

lol The REAL John Farnham? hahahaha Then who am i? Gee maybe i could just change my name. Look i am not here to throw around my name, just merely a Queen fan wanting to gain more knowledge beyond the common Queen fan, that's all, so i don't have to try to be someone i am NOT, but i am the John Farnham who performed for many of years, that's all. Good day.

I personally like Burn for You and Age of Reason, though the third verse to WWRY is terrific. That's my favorite version of WWRY after Queen's BBC version.

As much as I want to believe this is actually Mr. Farnham, the internet is too tricky a place. Is it true that WWRY was recorded in one take as a morning vocal stretch?

Hi there, i understand your worry about me, but rest assured it is me. Anyways, about the WWRY vocal stretch question, if i understand you correctly the answer is yes. Thanks for taking an interest. Good day. I must retire to sleep now, i have had a very long day and not feeling fantastic.

Mr. Farnham...for what team does your son play cricket?

You see, I know somebody who plays with him so answering that will go a long way to confirming who you are.
Dear Greg,

I understand your frustrations but you should really learn to communicate. Really, if I would communicate to my customers like you do, I would be fired. And we are your customers. Even if people are wrong you should handle them with respect. Even if they handle you with disrespect. You're an official QP representant.

I'm not a Queenzoner.
I come here once in a 2 or 3 months just to see if there's any news. I read some threads, and of course I read the thread started by the official Queen Archivist. I'm shocked to read what you write.

I understand that you cannot share information. Some people ask you to share information, but that's impossible of course.
All I want to ask you is to PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE try to write normal sane messages and don't write messages if you're fucked up or angry. Just rethink 3 times before you post. Let somebody else proof read it. Don't insult people all the time. (apparantly you're not aware of that, but every post you place is insulting to people, sometimes in general, sometimes in person. Maybe you're not aware of that, but you are. You're writing on an international board, things that may not be insulting to you may be insulting to other people. And of course the casual queenzoner is insulting others as well, but they're not official QP employees. You are. And I'm really really not happy with the idea that someone like you who's not even able to write a polite post has (or had) your job. As a Queen fan I'm terrified, because I'm sure that with all those samples out there we can only have a 100% complete Queen anthology if the archivist is able to politely ask people to give it to him. And I'm afraid that you're not such a person. You start a fight with that person who has any rare recording, which results in that person NEVER going to give it away at all. It doesn't matter if you're right and he's wrong, all that matters is that you get the sample in the end. That's what you should focus on. That's why you should ignore all insults addressed at you, that's why you shouldn't post ANYTHING personal (either good or bad) but stay professional. Please be a professional. And if JSS is posting wrong info, just reply by saying: "As far as I'm aware this is not true, but please enlight me if I'm wrong." It's that simple, no need to yell or to write posts with the size of a book.

The 2nd question is: please answer to JSS's questions to you. He posted a link to his questions, it's in a new thread, easily found on the main queen-serious discussions forum page. Stop replying to individuals. (even don't reply to this, if you think my post is useless, ignore it. Or better: learn from it).

A professional who's fighting with people who have only 1% of the information he has is not a professional.

I say this because I hope you'll improve and give us the best Queen anthology we can get, once it'll be released and once those people who make the decisions decide. And really, if you continue to post this kind of unprofessional posts I'm going to contact QP and ask them to replace you. But maybe everybody at QP is like you and that's the atmosphere overthere. Well, then it's a pitty for me, but I'll never have my Queen Anthonlogy. But I'll have Greatest Hits IV, V and VI and 256 more compilations. Bummer for Rho'd Berth. But that's life.

BTW, I'm a Dream Theater fan,
you should really visit the website of the leader (and drummer) of the band, Mike Portnoy.
He posts on his own message forum and talks with the fans in a VERY polite manner. He's honest, and shares information. Queen and you can learn a lot from him.

They release all kinds of rare cd's for the fans with personal funds. All kinds of news updates can be found.

Read here one of his recent posts:

Mike Portnoy is a professional.
And he's really not a small boy. It's not a Freddie Mercury (though I think he's a better musician) but he's a great name in progressive rock. Go there, read his post. Learn from him.
