You see, I know somebody who plays with him so answering that will go a long way to confirming who you are.[/QUOTE]

Hi there, to answer your question. Neither of my sons play cricket professionally, so i don't think you have the right lad. What is this lads name? and i do have two sons, and one is not even old enough to play pro cricket. Good day.

[QUOTENAME]JFarnham wrote: [/QUOTENAME][QUOTE]lol The REAL John Farnham? hahahaha Then who am i? Gee maybe i could just change my name. Look i am not here to throw around my name, just merely a Queen fan wanting to gain more knowledge beyond the common Queen fan, that's all, so i don't have to try to be someone i am NOT, but i am the John Farnham who performed for many of years, that's all. Good day.[/QUOTE]

Awesome, so this is you: http://home.wanadoo.nl/j.w.v.eden/collecties/gethsemane_johnfarnham.mp3 ?
Bought this record a few years ago, that version of Gethsemane on the Australian cast album rocked mate! :-)
[QUOTE][QUOTENAME]the_hero wrote: [/QUOTENAME]Did you get the high notes as Ian Gillan did in the original version? :P[/QUOTE]
Heheh only a few can reach those notes dude. There have been a lot of other great versions of the song though. :-D

Still... this gives me goosebumps everytime I hear it: http://home.wanadoo.nl/j.w.v.eden/collecties/gethsemane_iangillan.mp3 :-P

But anyways, i am NOT here to throw my name around, please everyone please email me if you feel the need to ask questions about me, or anything pertaining to my career? This is queenzone.com not johnfarnham.com ok? I am not upset just a little embarrassed, that's all. I am a shy person and i don't like to be in the spotlight other than on stage, so please email. I am glad that there are a diverse crowd that likes my music, but again, please email instead, i am here to talk about Queen only. Good day.

JFarnham: A genuine question - I hope you can provide an honest answer.

If you became mega successful - so successful that you needed an archivist - or official biographer - would you feel comfortable employing the Queen archivist for the position, or would you look around elsewhere?

hehehe, you had to go there JSS? lol Even though i do have some respect for the lad, i would have to decline. You see i am a more passive person, Mr. Brooks is an aggressive person, and the combo would not perform well. I don't personally have an issue with him, but i would have to say definatly no. From the posts here, and the whole persona of him here, i don't think it would be a wise decision. Plus i have never been presented with any of his other work except this Live book, so therefore i couldn't hire this person to be my 'Archivist' plus i don't think he would accept, my career wasn't as exciting as Queen's! :) Good Day. Email me if you get a chance there John?

Hell yeah... life was so much easier while we were still living in "seperate caves"! :-)))

PS: Always enjoyed listening to "Chain Reaction"... the whole album is, in my opinion, a classic!

@John S Stuart:
"Whatever you do, do it with style..." ...that attitude sadly ended on November 24th,1991.

This attitude more and more has turned into something like "let´s kill the goose who lays the golden eggs"... see Mr. Brooks and his behaviour in here for example! Queen died in 1991... what´s left is called Queen Productions and their servants of course... what´s missing is quality and dignity.

Guess it´s time to turn over to Alex now... where are you muchacha? ;-)
Shoot for the moon... even if you fail you will land among the stars!

Greg, for better or worse you are the Official face of the Queen archive, and to write the above under the guise of your authorized title, is both an insult and a slap in the face to us all, and is a blatant misuse of the authority and trust placed in you by the band and fans alike.

Any one else would (correctly) be hammered as a spammer.

I did indeed. In fact there has been so much spam in here of late, I think I am about to be all overcome by Monty Pythonism...
"Listen to them. Children of the night. What music they make."
Forgive me for repeating myself, but, I am posting this everywhere the Official Queen Archivist can read it, to remind him of the promise he made to me on 11th July 2006 .

Now there is no excuse to say that he did not see it, or that he overlooked my mail.

Therefore, if you a man of your word, and can you please reply to the request below?

[QUOTE][QUOTENAME]John S Stuart wrote: [/QUOTENAME]Therefore, I accept your very kind offer;http://www.queenzone.com/queenzone/forumnew/forum_topic_view.aspx?Q=821653

Queen Archivist: "If John S. Stuart would like to make the extent of his knowledge known to us all, including the things he 'thinks' exist, and he puts it on the table, I will confirm or not that they exist or not. NO confusion, no guessing, no misleading misinformation. John, what do you REALLY know. What do you REALLY have to offer as fact?"

As I have been so free with my version of events re: Queen II recording sessions, and I have placed all my knowledge "...on the table", I hope you can oblige and let me know EXACTLY where I have gone wrong.

I really look forward to reading your informative reply,

Just posting here so Mr. Brooks can see. Man, he's getting infamous around here, eh?

[QUOTE][QUOTENAME]Queen Archivist wrote: [/QUOTENAME]
But ask Lester about it, because reading your post I think you are not exactly knowing what the precise subject is to be.

I HEARD IT WAS ABOUT QUEEN IN THE STUDIO.

EVERY OTHER FACET OF QUEEN IS ALREADY COVERED.
[/QUOTE]

Oh really? When's that box set of demos coming out then?
Seriously. That's probably the only Queen purchase I'm making from here on out. All this rereleasing, remastering, and rehashing is getting on my nerves. I know you can't answer for the entirety of Queen Productions, but is there any chance of using whatever political will you have to push this project ahead of any other tasks in the bin?

[QUOTE][QUOTENAME]Queen Archivist wrote: [/QUOTENAME].... ARE YOU CREATING ANYTHING IN YOUR LIFE, OTHER THAN WORDS THAT NO-ONE OTHER THAN YOU IS INTERESTED IN???? DO YOU DO ANYTHING WORTHWHILE YOU CAN TELL US ABOUT RIGHT NOW?

NAME US 1 THING.

DO YOU DO ANYTHING OTHER THAN KNOCK OTHER PEOPLE???
[/QUOTE]

I try to. My sprite comic is about to hit #170, and has had a good-sized following for a while. Not Queen-related, but showing that not everyone here is writing "words that no one other than you [are] interested in."

I also try to be as civil as possible in talking with people both on and off boards. Using proper spelling & punctuation, easing off the CAPS LOCK, things like that.

In conclusion, Mr. Brooks, I don't believe that you give us here in Queenzone a fair shake, especially those who are truly interested in Queen, and absorbing every little facet of information possible.

Me, I'm just waiting until I can hear Face It Alone without giving my liver to a smarmy trader.
