Where is John Deacon?

In case the cynics don't help, John Deacon is 100% retired from music and has supposedly given Brian and Roger his moral support and approval for the Paul Rodgers thing, but has no intention of rejoining the band.

One thing regarding Roger...

I recently heard an interview with him at the US Convention ( forget which program it was on ...sorry!) and he was basically saying that he thought John was "stupid" for not wanting to tour again with them.

I found this a bit insulting and disrespectful to John. i know Roger was probably just trying to encourage him to change his mind, and Ol' Roge is great as he freely speaks whats on his mind....but.....well, i found it a little disrespectful.

We all have to sit back and come to terms with the fact that John is indeed retired and has chosen to do so under his own free will. I miss him and his influence in the Band as anyone, but i have enough respect for him to leave him be and let him get on with his life the way he sees fit.

It's actually one way of keeping him around and in people's thoughts.

At least SOME people wonder about him. If no one ever asked, well, i for one would then be a bit worried!

You stupid people! Nobody knows what is the real reason. Roger told after the WWRY show in Cologne two years ago what was the situation between John and them, but I don't wanna say in some reasons... if you don't believe, ask people who were there...and I know where he lives...

Once a week John Deacon can be spotted driving his Volvo to the end of his driveway to his mailbox. Upon opening it he extracts an envelope smiles & exclaims "Hello royality check!!" Hops back into his Volvo & whisks off to his garage only to appear the following week repeating this activity.

Oh come on now....

Let's be serious here! John does a lot more then that!

John did in fact play on the recent tour, but was too shy to come out from behind the curtain, so they had to get the other guy to mime.

Yes he retired officially back in 98' i beleive. I don't recall offhand exactly...

He's taking a well deserved rest from the public eye, and enjoying what time he has to himself i am sure.
