Did Freddie ever Record a song with Elton Jonh

I know that Elton was a huge fan of Freddies and i was wondering if they had recorded a song together

Freddie appeared with Elton on Elton's show once; Freddie, Elton and Rod were planning to make a band (it was a joke, but...)... So...............

It has always surprised me that nothing has surfaced that the two of them did, being such good friends you would have thought something would have happened, I know Roger and John worked with him a few times but it's strange Freddie didn't.

Elton + Freddie would be an everlasting clash of egos.

That's not necessarily a bad thing. Many an artistic masterpiece originated that way.

3 songs were filmed that Freddie did live on stage together with sir Elton John. It was on the 40th birhday of Elton, in Manchester, on November 19th, 1982, and they sang 3 songs: 1) "whole lotta shakin' goin' on" 2) "she saw me standing there" 3) "twist ad shout". This show was completely filmed by the crew of Elton, and a short piece is in one of the queen-documentaries...i can't recall wich one, i thought magic years video...but they didn't go into a studio to record together. I really hope that Greg can get his hands on this video-recording, but i believe that Elton will not give it away, and keeps it as one of his favorite memory-souvenirs...what a pitty for us
It was a real fab party that night. Freddie was awesome, and he really blew Elton off the stage...
the same way he did with the other "sir" (Cliff Richard) in the Dominion at the "give time for aids" charity performance of the "Time"musical April 14th 1988. (he did 3 songs then aswell...) That performance was an event in its own right...Freddie singing: "it's in everyone of us"...we had no idea then, that this show was going to be his last ever live performance for an audience...it makes the recordings even more bizar...and makes me wonder why on earth those recordings didn't make it to be part of the solo collection...like the Michael Jackson songs..and the Time-rehearsals...and sooo much more that should have been on that....the logan place recordings...demos like "YATOO"...i really believe there's more than plenty of stuff out there to produce another set with Freddie's voice...lets hope it will be put on the anthology box-set in 2009....if we still live...we might be able to enjoy it then...or in a box set to celebrate his 65th birthday...???

BTW, there're no footages from that performance on any Queen documentarties though I haven't seen them all
