There is a reataurant in Zanzibar which is organizing a special dinner to celebrate what would have been Freddie 60´s birthday, and the goverment does not allowe them to do it coz Freddie Mercury was Homosexual.
Not the government. A fundamentalist religious faction. Fundamentalists are always outrageously inhuman.
agreed. but not all muslims are like this... probably just the extremists.
it seems the majority are extremists these days though.

seems, because the extremists are more visible, and those who would be moderate are afraid to speak out.
SIR GH....I suggest you to read Michel Foucault, and Pierre Bourdieu. Just to start...
Thanks for your comments.

Yeah, they were both great thinkers. I don't necessarily agree with all of their viewpoints, but they were both very necessary people in 20th century philosophy.

But what do they have to do with this discussion? I don't recall either of them mentioning religion. 20th century philosophy usually has nothing to do with religion, because most philosophers acknowledge that adhering to ancient religion is not a way of moving forward in thought. Philosophy only advances when we look for new ways of seeing the world, not using the old for the sake of antiquity.

Ok Sir GH, so if you already know about Foucault and Pierre Bourdieu, you could keep reading Cornelius Castoriadis and Gilles Deleuze!...this new guys are both philosophers...Bourdieu is not!
By the way, I just meant for you to pay attention to the concept of "Habitus" in Bourdieu, may be that could explain the behavior of those muslim groups, and about Foucault I just thought in "Sexuality Dispositive"...but anyway..I just was tring to make an effort in thinking, I mean... Is the only way to solve problems using violence (speaking-acting)? I think you think the answer is "no". Ok, just take a look at those thinkers! Remember Castoriadis and Deleuze!
See you! You can contac me by mail if you are intrested in Philosophy. Bye!

Hmm. Could that be the reason I used the word 'fundamentalist'? You see, the same goes for fundamentalist Jews, Catholics, Protestants, Hindus, etc.
TQ i agree. i have islamic friends and the way they use their religion ('use' is taken lightly since i have lack of a better word right now) beautifully and see it as a good thing as for stability, or how people are supposed to use religion and not the insane ways to cause harm or discrimination as fundementalists of ANY kind do. hey, we still have the KKK...nobodys doing anything to stop them, yet we still have these terrorists to use the name of God to cause mayhem. go stupidity!!!!

but yeah, point being, exteremeists and fundementalists should jsut have unremovable duct tape around their mouths and be tied to a tree. oh wait. that too is being extereme O.O
why pay the visit when the visit is free? "this shitty guitar wont play what i want! it only knows three chords!"
