The man was a conservationist who risked his life on a daily basis to get YOUR attention. He promoted respect for animals, not ridiculous sterotypes. In the view of many he was an expert, and took calculated risks. The truth is, a lifetime of this behavior and he gets killed in a freak (and super rare) stingray incident. If he died in an auto accident no one would be laughing.
