Who wrote Crazy little thing called love? Freddie or Elvis?

Hi everyone. I bought an album recently "The very best of Elvis Presley". What do you think I have found there? I was quite amused, but there was a "Crazy little thing called love" in the song list... Absolutely the same lyrics and music. Elvis died in 1977, so it's clear, that he wrote the song before that time. In "The game" album is written, that author of the song in Mercury. Song was written in 1979. So, who is an author of the song?

To the best of my knowledge, he never got further than the odd lyric here and there.

Digitally. Very short samples from his vocals are digitally pasted together, and manipulated to be of the right frequencies.

There's absolutely fantastic version of Crazy Little Thing Called Love on Mozart's "Live at Wembley" DVD. Wolfy played some synths himself.
