Thank you, Brian. Now I can sleep at night (that's actually not sarcasm...).

He made me laugh. This makes me happy to know Brian May doesn't write soap-boxes like a poopy person.
Hahahahaha... Brian's so funny!!!! I love it! xD
He is sort of Grumpy ist he :D
I haven't laughed this hard since May 24. I'm not sayin' what happened on May 24, LOL.

Anyway - Oh, God - I LOVE Brian's rants.

How'd you do that?
I love reading Brian's little entries. Haha "coloured beach ball of death" I cracked up when I read that. First of all I HATE Macs, I'm anti-macs, i Pods, everything. Go PC! Brian should get a refund! It's like my phone, it burns my face :-(. He should get a Dell or something. Screw Macs, the bastards.

Brian's new machine is a Macbook Pro, a different model to the powerbook.

Anyway I e-mailed Brian with some links about the problems he is having. Apple generally makes quality hardware, but their attitude when there is mass problems like these - Brian's not the only one having heat and early shut off issues - is not good. I also sent him some advice if he decides to go PC. The key to running a stable Windows XP system is to use as little MS software as possible. Ditching Internet Explorer and Outlook Express is especially important, as most Windows problems stem from those. I use Mozilla's stuff and my two Windows XP machines give me to real problems to speak of.

i know, i think he should get a powerbook, personally. i haven't had those kind of problems with it at all. and especially since he's used to using macs anyway. but whatever works, works...
