Oh, sure... there are others out there calling themselves Petty Theft, but we believe ours is the closest you’ll get to the real thing, in the jangle and in the median age of its members! We grew up with TP and the HBs, we love the sound and we rock it with purpose.
Petty is a rock God. I saw him play here in Houston a couple of months ago, AWESOME! We also had a surprise guest that night. STEVIE NICKS! Great show!

I thought a little too much Stevie, personally. Pretty fun to cover his stuff, a very overlooked songwriter.

I remember when I posted the fraud about the elections of 2004 and I got bashed... Thank God now everyone in the world sees that.
There was no fraud on the election of 2004.

Bush simply had more electoral votes than Kerry. The US doesn't base their election process on the popular vote. That doesn't work and would encourage voter fraud. Heck, the Mexicans still can't figure out who their President is!!!
Not true, you should read the paper more often. It was decided a couple of weeks ago.
I meant the ones in Venezuela... August 15th 2004, there was a referendum asking if we wanted Chavez to leave and the Yes won by 64%, but the CNE said it was Chavez who won with the No by that same percent, which ironically everyone said I was lying and making a big drama out of it

You're being rude to my friend... I have the right to say whatever I want to you, so quit it
Barcelona, October 22nd 2008
Okay man... take your anger somewhere else. I'll stick by him and defend him 'cuz like I said he's my friend. Why embarassing him??? It's not meant to be that. Besides... I talk shit about Bush also, not only about the monkey we have as a president in venezuela. Bush is a puppet who does what Cheney and Condoleezza tells him, like Chavez 'cuz he's the puppet of Fidel Castro. And he's nnot talking shit about US, he's talking shit about the president of US.

Atleast he speaks the truth.

He said it best - most of the people on here have no reason to bash this country because they dont live here - last time I checked they dont know what its like. They take what the media gives them, which most of the time is bullshit.

The power of the media. ALot of these people buy into that shit. They may be paid to write for a living, but alot of the time they stray away from the truth and let their opinions interfere w/ the real story.

If you want a dictatorship look at cold war russia, thats a true dictatorship. LAst time I checked the US wasnt anything like that.

Get your facts straight before you run your mouths.

Bollocks

Can't be bothered to read the rest of his gibberish, but that post I quoted had at least 3 freaky opinions which you consider facts. Maybe the capital letters distracted you?

Still, Harvard surely would have trained a better law student.

lol. So you're one of the ones that thinks everything is Bush's fault? Last time I checked there is a thing called *Checks and Balances*. Everyone in the Govt is responsible -- just like YSM said
"1. I own and operate 3 successful business'
2. I own everything i have outright, no payments
3. I buy everything cash, no consumer debt
4. I make 7 figures by simply sitting on my ass
5. My house probably cost more than you have earned your whole life combined.
6. I grew up in a poor family
7. I did everything on my own, no help from the government or family or friends.
8. My business' have over 150,000 clients worldwide
9. I don't care what anyone thinks of me, there is nothing that i am intimidated from.
10. You miss EVERY point that i make"

But you still can't win an argument on the internet. This isn't your fault, it's a constant of the universe..
You aren't going to convince anyone here of anything, just accept it. It's probably not your fault; you're probably in a room of people stupider than you. Who knows? WHO CARES.
Well hey true enough, we all have the problem of being misunderstood on the internet ; I mean I try to be level headed but I still wind up getting in the odd stoush with people on here...

In the end it ain't worth it, it fixes little. It hurts me to think that one or two people out there think I'm scum-of-the-earth when I'm not, I just taking things too lightly for some people on here. But at the end of the day - fuck it.
[QUOTENAME]young_strat_man wrote: [/QUOTENAME]

Honestly, i think you were distracted by your opinion and a lack of knowledge of politics and the history of the US. And what 3 freaky opinions are you ranting about?
Ah, if only you knew.

1 - several presidents have left office with an approval rating of more than 50%, which is satisfying more than half the nation. Even now, Bush's is at 37%, which is considered "very low" though only 13% away from half.

2 - You say half is our fault, half is Congress's fault. Then someone else uses the words "checks and balances." Apparently, neither one of you have heard the word "veto," which is the President's constitutional right to zap any legislation. It's the President who is responsible for enforcement. Bush has taken this to a new step by issuing "signing statements" when he signs a new law by laying out how he wants to interpret any law he's not in love with.

3 - And perhaps you can explain how the public is responsible for welfare? That's a new one to me. Never saw a welfare referendum on any ballot I voted on.

Still, nice to see YSM get flustered and pour out his economic history in an attempt to prove he's better than me. Keep it up, doing a good job.

And for the record, never said it was Bush's fault. I just hate YSM's abuse of history and claiming his "opinion" as fact.
