Federal aid didn't arrive for 5 fuckin' days, despite of all the warnings from experts predicting that New Orleans would be underwater. Local emergency services were left on their own dealing with the whole catastrophe. What do you say to them and the victims?
Barbara Bush herself said that the people trapped at the Lousiana Superdome were living much better there than at their own homes. Goes to show how much sensitivity the Bush family has for the underprivileged.
The worst part of all was the fact that Bush decided to hire an old buddy of his as a head of FEMA. As we all know by now, Michael Brown couldn't even run an Arabian Horse Association, and then gets asked to run FEMA? How fucked up is that? There's thousands of local heads of Fire Departments and other local emergency departments who have a much better knowledge of how to respond to an emergency, but the priority for Bush is to give old friends jobs instead of putting people who are truly qualified for such an important position.

You can't stereotype...not everyone on the welfare system abuses it.
