Thank-you! Very interesting to hear!

Hmm... is there something wrong with this one or am I beying a dummy again?
File downloads but when playing it stoppes about halfway through the track...

Tried downloading it a couple of time and kept having the same problem... :-(
This is great to hear - thank you. And Jeroen, you're right, despite the file thinking it is 3.37, it ends just before 1.29.
Thank you. Wonderful version. But it's a shame that is's overdubbed.
Why is it all swamped in reverb?

Nice find though!

EDIT: Ah... this is recorded in a hall!
This is actually 'Take 4' - NOT 'Take 1'.

GB IQFC convention October 16th 2004, Vlaardingen, Holland: Unreleased Great King Rat (Vocal demo Version). Recorded early 1973. Freddie counts intro, different melody and lyrics and no electric guitars.
GB IQFC convention Prestatyn 2005: Unreleased Great King Rat Early demo: Take 4

Thanks for sharing.

And thanks for the info, jonh S Stuart.
Why did Freddie count to 10?

Take care
The count was possibly the time left for the guitar intro. So was the track we hear on the alvum recorded live like that with just bass, drums, acoustic and freddie, then obviously the electric parts and solo was recorded over the top.
Go, Go, Go, little queenie!!
Hi Raptor711

can we have an mp3 192 (or up) WORKING version ?

Because he only had five fingers on each hand.
So it was a good thing that he didn't have his hands in his pockets at the time! ;-)

I'm afraid not, John.
This one is different to Take 4 - GB IQFC Maassluis, Holland 2005.

Easily comparable: That one is announced by engineer as take 4, no Freddie counting, LOTS of additional guitars. That one is clearly a guitar-take.

So what this download says; that this is a VOCAL take, makes sence realy.
On this one you can clearly here the basic track is there. Bass, guitar, drums. Freddie's doing vocals and on this take their are clearly in a very early stage. Very different.

Note then that on 'take 4 - the guitar take', the vocals are quite similar to the eventual album version. That's the stage where Brian is overdubbing or doubling his guitar parts and adding 'noise'. Evidently later on in the proces.
