hehehehe!! I love Delilah! its so happy! and I love the line about delilah peeing on his chipendale suit!! it never fails to put a smile on my face!.... however, I agree that its not one of their greatest songs... but its still good!!
"One dump, one turd, two tits, John Deacon. One heart, one goal, one sex position." haha... oh dear!!
imho 'Delilah' is a little too cute, but the mouthbox guitar is interesting -- drum machines don't nearly match Roger. I love cats also but rather "Lost Opportunity" on the album instead
When a red hot man meets a white hot lady, Hoop Diddy Diddy, Hoop Diddy Doo!
I would have preferred Face It Alone to be honest, and if he had to write a song about his cats why didn't he do a Noel Coward type piece on the piano? Still, it's a good song, it lightens the mood a bit.

No, they were originally going to use a song about Brian's parakeet. But Delilah ate him.

It's all a matter of opinion, I think Delilah is pretty naff myself but I still enjoy listening to it. It's a no bullshit song about his cats for fucks sake, what did you expect??
that's your stupid opinion about hot space and pain and pleasure, I happen to think hot space rocks and pain and pleasure is catchy enough to be good. rock fans are so closed minded.
no, shut the fuck up, you are the closed minded.

You think that anything that might have the Queen name on it, it's great and the best thing ever

wake up, Queen is not always the best
your right!...queen + paul sucks. See, I don't like everything with the queen name on it.

Your stupid opinion is more stupid than my stupid opinion.

See - it sounds ridiculous when it's played back to you, doesn't it?

And whats more - didn't you go on record as saying Barcelona was better than anything Queen did in the 80's? I was rather under the impression you didn't like their 80's stuff much. Make up your freakin' mind.

Different strokes, asshole - so Hot Space doesn't do it for me. Unfortunately, they can't arrest me for that.

And you know what?

Never once did I say I hated Man On The Prowl, Pain Is So Close to Pleasure, or Hot Space. I said they were less-than-stellar. It just means they're not 'high art' or anything, it doesn't mean I hate them or they're crap... jeeze!

I think you're making shit up.
And I'm not freakin' close minded. There is absolutely nothing close minded about listening to music I've not heard before, which I do on a pretty regular basis....

But I forgive you.[/QUote/yes, I did say barcelona was better than 80's queen, but that has to do with how brilliant I think barcelona was, and has nothing to do with how good or bad I think 80's queen is. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but for the last few years i'v listened to hot space more than I'v listened to 70's queen.

Oh please! Let us know when YOU can sell as many DVD's or Cd's as QPR! lol and i know you will have something very witty to say in return.
Hello you rock and rollers!
I get the feeling Innuendo itself may not have been made if Freddie hadn't been so ill, there is a certain finality to it all though it's not without its humour as Delilah shows...On the other hand you could argue that the song is no more silly than something like "Yellow Submarine" or "Octopus' Garden" by the Beatles but somehow because they are The Beatles these tracks aren't slated as much as some of Queens are...double standards in the world of rock for sure.
who gives a rats ass how many cds queen + paul sell, solo freddie kicked their ass anyway. Is the freddie dvd still at #1?... queen + paul suck and I don't care if they sold millions of copys of that crap (ROTC) album. If idiots on this board could say hot space or dililah suck, or eighties queen is crap, why all of a sudden get upset when I say paul + queen sucks? Since when is paul cherished more than queen around here?...

That's like saying "Paris is great because her music sells well"
"Please buy my upcoming album... I need the money"

More of that trademark stupidity I see...

I NEVER SAID that Hot Space or Delilah were crap. I said they weren't brilliant compositions - it just means they're simpler musically. Simple can be good. Grab a brain.

I stopped listening or looking at mike hunt a while ago. If you ask me, mike hunt is smelly. I wouldn't want to be left alone with mike hunt. If I could trade mike hunt for a better one, I would.

But to directly answer mike hunt's question...

Brian, Roger, John, Paul, Jamie, Danny, Jim Beach, QPL, and about a hundred other people involved in the production of the product.
amazing song, why should it not ?? when you don't like it don't think it should have not been on the album. great song IMO
The Innuendo cd is so intense, I find Delilah a welcome relief. And the part where they are all meowing makes me assume they were all having a smiling, laughing good time being cats.
Yes, it was a worthwhile experience.
