Exactly. I agree with the gist of your post. Queen did a variety of stuff throughout their years.. Delilah is no worse than many other tracks.

As for my own opinion, I think it's a cute song and some much needed comic relief in an otherwise mostly bleak album. It's part of what makes Innuendo a diverse Queen album just like any other Queen album!
