rarest queen song played on radio

Hmmm over here in the US especially on the Classic Rock stations you hear Queen all the time. I hear on a regular basis....Bohemian Rhapsody, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, We Will Rock You/We Are The Champions, You're My Best Friend, Fat Bottomed Girls, Somebody To Love, Killer Queen, Under Pressure, and Another One Bites The Dust. So evidentally most of the people that replied to this post aren't over here in the states. However the rarest Queen song I've heard on the radio would have to be "Who Needs You"...Just heard it about 2 months ago on this program they have called "The Acoustical Storm" that they do on Sunday nights on 100.3 which is a local classic rock station out of Washington D.C. I also heard "Now I'm Here" and "Tie Your Mother Down" once too.....That was pretty weird.

My local classic rock station absolutely LOVES Queen! A lot of times they introduce their songs coming up as (song title) by 'Freddie Mercury & The Boys'

But the rarest Queen song they played from what I know, and I'm sad to say I wasn't there to hear it, was Scandal. Last year my Girlfriend was driving to work and Scandal came on the radio and she's a Queen fan just like me and it was shocking for her and me, when she told me.

I heard it played once as well, I think Christmas of '04... on a Boston radio station, someone actually requested it though and the DJ said something like "thought you could fool me, huh?"

No. The classic rock station in my area has this program Blue Moon Cafe, where they play the more nostalgic hits from Classic Rock bands. On Christmas, they played Christmas songs made my mostly Classic Rock artists. "Thank God..." was one of them.[/QUOTE]

Same thing over here! Last year on Christmas morning my local hard rock station played 'Thank God It's Christmas.' In fact, it was the first thing I heard when I turned on the radio.

I hear alot of these "rare" songs such as It's Late, Need Your Loving Tonight, even Doing All Right (on pyschadelic Sunday) but one alleged hit that I have never ever heard was "Good Old Fashioned Loverboy" I often question if it was ever played on US radio....and then question more why it is included on compilations...some of the other vaudeville stuff is much better i.e. Seaside Rendezvous (and that I will hear since some stations will play ANATO from start to finish).....Hollywood Records should get their act together and only put hits on "greatest hits" albums. Having said that, there should be a second Classic Queen album which would include songs like It's Late, Need Your Loving Tonight etc. since those are more likely to recieve some airplay...

Well, GOFLB was a hit in the UK I think... but not the US, where I don't even think it was released as a single.

Last friday on my dads birthday party the berlin radio station 88.8 played Seaside Rendezvous. I was standing at the barbeque and nearly lost my mind as it was anounced.

The Lady said:

" The wheater in Berlin is so wonderful at the moment and tomorrow it will be hot again and lots of sunshine. We all have to go to the beach tomorrow. That fits with the next song. Here is Queen with Seaside Rendezvous."

I was smiling from one ear to the other.
