Sorry, I guess it was a bit overdone. But to be honest, I'm not homophobic. I always use the words "gay" and "faggot" to mean "lame". I guess it's just a bad habit.

Good post, but I think a Queen fan might gravitate towards Black Holes and Revelations first. Either way, you won't be dissapointed. Of course, what cemented it for me was seeing a DVD of them - Matt Bellamy is a throwback as a performer, and it's hard to believe the energy he puts into his show while still playing and singing so well.
I think the best comparison of Muse and Queen lies in their use of dynamic, or as Jimmy Page puts it, "white and black" in the same song.
I heard that Muse plays I Want to Break Free before breaking into Knights of Cydonia - anyone hear this?
Oh yeah, and Stockholm Syndrome is a great track - reminds me of early Queen, and that's a damn good thing.

Muse is fantastic.I recently bought 'Absolution'and I listen to it a lot. They know how to write songs that are catchy and have musical merit at the same time. That's what makes you truly a great band. They always pick their singles very good too.They are a singles band aswell as an album band(like Queen in the seventies). Some of the 'more serious press' (in my country anyway)always talks about coldplay,oasis and stuff like that.That's something I will never understand.For me music is about taking risks, doing different things, being dynamic and knowing how to play. I don't know much about Muse live but I know that when Coldplay is playing live a tape is rolling(and not only to record the show:-)That is not what i consider playing live;-)Oasis, coldplay, they are poor instrumentalists(in my opinion)I really like the changes Muse went through too. They only get better, more mature. I hope they can continue this quality of music.
By the way:I read a funny story about bellamy:they were sitting by a fire backstage and a Belgian band gave him their album. The belgian band walked away and they saw bellamy going towards the fire and they thought:o no, he's going to put our CD in the fire.They went back and jumped on matt and took back their cd.Matt said:what do you do?It's here so dark, I just want to read the booklet:-)
