If you choose Squirtle on Red/Blue/Green, you'll have a pokemon with one of the strongest defenses EVER, and you'll also easily beat the first gym leader, but you'll need a grass or an electric pokemon for the next gym. And you won't even think about using your Squirtle on the 3rd gym.

I think the first one was much better as well, but the new Pokemon added on Gold/Silver/Crystal were acceptable. Except maybe for a few Pokemon, like Steelix.

The Ruby/Sapphire generation is detestable. If I really order a Fire Red or Leaf Green, I bet my team will be pretty much made up of old Pokemon, because I never got into those new ones.

But trust me... Those new games for DS being released in Japan (and soon coming to the western world) got MUCH worse.

They'd better have perfect graphics and a superb story, because the new generation is terrible.

Raf is certainly the master of Pokemon! Unless... Someone wants to challenge him to a Pokemon fight?! ^.^

Seriously, this talk takes me abck a good few years...... i had pokemon red version when it came out soooo many years ago now. I am actually itching to grab a gameboy now :)
I was never that hooked on the programme, but i must say that that confussed yellow duck totaly ruled!!
