I listened to this a few minutes ago. It's really an improvement over the MP3 version. But the high tones are covered by the tape hiss. Maybe there's a lower generation version available, but that won't be much better, I guess. But nonetheless it's one of the greatest performances of the band, especially because Freddie is so self-confident with his voice. Sometimes he seems to be surprised by his own abilities on that evening. The "Now I'm Here"-singalong is astounding! And there's one of the best performances of "Spread Your Wings" on this recording.

I'm not too sure about this being the best available quality. I hope your wrong about that. It would be nice to have a soundboard recording with the audience included. This would be a great official release by QP.
This show had a lot of energy, the audience was great the band and Freddies voice sounds great.[/QUOTE]
That would be great, but I'm pretty sure that QP will only release concert-cd's along with a DVD. Never heard of a videoshoot that night...
But I hope I'm deadwrong too. For now, this is a great torrent.

I'm glad you all like this show, I'm not sure why I didn't share this show earlier. It surfaced when the discussion came up about the best live performance of Bo Rhap. Frankly, there are a lot of numbers on this show that rank up there with the best vocal performances by Freddie. Save Me is my favorite of all the live performances of the song. I wish Love of My Life wasn't cut. It's one of my all time favorite vocal performances by Freddie. I agree with Nummer2 about Spread Your Wings, it's one of the better performances that I have heard. It seems that Freddie was out to prove he could hit those high notes live too.

in response to Rik & Roll, i'am 99% positive that there is a recording of that show languishing in the tyne tees tv companies vaults!it was made as a news special welcoming queens visitto the city. and i'm sure bruce gowers (bo rap) had something to do with it.

Hope this comes down ok. I went to the Brighton concert on the '79 Crazy Tour so to to have this set list would be amazing. I was at the Milton Keynes gig in 82 as well so this would make a nice addition.

I have the MP3 version of this and truely its probably Freddie's best vocal concert in terms of being able to hit the high notes, from the start right to the end, and I agree with someone who talked about the Now I'm here sing-along, thats just awesome, esp that note he hits near the star tof the sing-along.

I think this night is the Dezember 3 and not 4. Can anyone confirm this?
