You are all so young it's great to hear the enthusiasim of a new generation of Queen fans. I have been a fanatic since the first time my brother played The prophet song. I sat in amasement, and played it over and over again. Then my brother took me to see that show in 76 I have been hooked ever since.I have seen them 16 times including Jacksonville this year. There are many reasons why Queen effects us all, Freddie's voice, Brian's guitar is what got me I have never heard anything like it even to this day' it is so unique. They are awesome live, and so much fun, they don't take it so seriusly; like the Who or Zepplin, who take three years to get it right.Queen was spontainious.It takes a special person to stand up and say Queen is the best "God Bless You ALL"

Ive been regularly checking this board for 5 some years. If i've learned anything, it's that penetration_guru is indeed a rude guy. Ignore him if he bothers you, he'll get over it. I believe he says his ridiculous statements to get people's attention and add meaning to his life.
Anyway,
I really feel Queen is one of the best bands ever, if not the best. I also feel it will take a while for people to realize this, especially in the USA. Their music came at you from all angles, just when you thought you had them figured out, they threw in a curveball or two. In a way, it kept them interesting from a musical sense and not monotonous like some of your typical bands (beatles). I think proof of their greatness are the recent bands that do Queen covers such as MCR and the used. I feel the world will someday appreciate Queen and Freddie in the same manner that they appreciate the beatles and lennon. These were very influential people, I know, but they set the stage for a more talented group, Queen.

You seem like a very logical man...or woman...or it. But, lets be civilized here. I became a Queenzone member because I wanted to be in contact with "real" fans. You sir (whatever you are), are indeed a real fan and I commend you for that. You have taken the option of joining an outstanding website dedicated to Queen. Isn't that enough? Who cares about it if a topic has existed once before or if everyone would agree with me that Queen is such a great band. The fact still remains that their are a lot of new fans who would love to learn more about this brilliant group of musicians. They would like to discover other people's opinions on Queen (not just their own). That is why I created this so called "fatuous" thread. Do you really think I care what you think or anybody else? I did this for my own entertainment, along with the best interests of other fans.

I think Queen is a great band and one of the best things that ive discovered. i mean Queens music can either make you laugh or cry and you never know what the song has in stock for you ( unless youv'e heard it before) and its just unique and one of a kind.
