In a way he did kill himself. Because he was too ill for making music he stopped taking his medicines.
But on the other hand, if he kept on taking his medicines it was just postponing his death for a short time, maybe a week, maybe a month, but he certaintly wouldn't have a good life anymore

Taking the medication was what was keeping him alive. If he continued doing so he would have lived a couple of years longer but it would have prolonged the pain he was going through.

I really doubt Freddie would've lived longer than 3 months when he kept taking his medicines. If you listen to the stories about Freddie recording stuff for Made in Heaven a few weeks for his death. He came in the studio in a wheelchair and sang one line and then go home again. This is not someone who still had years to come
