I vote for:

1. Bullitt
2. The French Connection
3. The Seven-Ups
4. The Blues Brothers

What are yours?
The four that are listed by the topic starter are great. I would like mention a film that is largely a chase scene. Steven Spielbergs film directing debut (Duel) which he did for N.B.C. t.v. in the U.S.A. In the film a salesmen played by Dennis Weaver is pursued by a crazed truck/lorry driver.
^Another excellent choice there Danny.
Duel. Heh, that reminds me of my math class. For some odd reason we watched the entire thing.
...this kettle is boiling over... ...one dump...one turd...two tits...John Deacon... ...one prawn...one shrimp...one clam...one chicken!

The sequence from North by northwest in which Cary Grant who has been force feed alcohol and is barely able to drive, tries to escape from the bad guys while driving along seaside cliffs.
Nothing beats the car chase on The Matrix Reloaded. As much as the sequel didn't live to the original, the whole car chase is worth the price paid for a movie ticket.

It's over 15 minutes of pure orgasmic adrenaline on film.

I love the Blues Brothers chase. "Ah shit, he broke my watch."
John: "It's the one thing I wish I could do - sing."
^I've always enjoyed the car chase seen in Terminater 3.

YES EXACTLY. :D
Double post.
the bourne supremacy.

but the best fight scene on a train was ocean's twelve. reason why: one side were for the yankees, the red sox the other. XD
I was going to say the Matrix Reloaded, as well. Trinity is such a bad ass in the motorcycle part. :-)

Dang straight. It's amazingly well done. When Trinity is on that bike it is hard to tell what cars are cgi and which are real. An amazing scene.

Yes! Bullitt! AMAZING! Steve McQueen doing all that himself. What a pro!
