Got info this is the first 10 singles (as 2 to 4 songs per CD), put in cardboard packaging.
There should be 4 sets in all - one every 2 months.
Regarding the price on offer at HMV, this seems right.
with fish and bacon, please

I doubt they're going to devote three discs to rarities and BBC sessions. I would think instead they would integrate overseas releases into the first seven discs you have, including 'Long Away', their B-sides, and so forth.[/QUOTE]

Let a man dream. :(

Noooo!!!! Reminds me of the Michael Jackson 'Visionary' thing...which sucks btw, but it sounds very QP..so i believe you. xD
We love you Mandy!
People must be blind when they visit the HMV page because it clearly states at the top, "Singles: 10cd".

Adam.
People this was already discussed here by Greg Brooks!´

The box-set is suposed to have ALL the singles that were ever released in all the formats and edits around the world. There were only two songs that Queen didn´t want to include because they didn´t like the final result. One of them is "Liar" edit version and i can´t remember the other one.

It was suposed to be 12 or 13 CD´s but EMI told them to put a máx of 10 CD´s. There will be no demos or outtakes in this compilation unless they were issued as a B-side in some country of the world.

Take care
Bobby Brown is correct - Greg also discussed this at convention last year and said EMI told him to cut it down from 12 discs to 10 discs, and so the Fool Me remixes & UP Rah remixes were removed.

BM & RT apparantly said they weren't keen on the US edits or Liar & It's Late, but Greg insisted.

We'll have to wait and see.

Depends what you call a Queen number one. If you count Under Pressure, the single with 5ive (which personally I wouldn't) and count BoRhap (which personally I would) as two, then you have five.
This can't end well.

Can't say I blame them - they're crap! There are some far better 'single' edits in the Fan Mixes section on here. Not of those songs, though.

I have little faith that this won't be yet another blatant rip off by QP, but let's hope for a nice surprise.

I didn't count the 5ive number one!
I counted Under Pressure though, but not the 2nd Bo Rhap!

So it's still 4(3 unique number ones)
In Holland they had 6 btw. :S

Crap or not, they should still be included on the set, considering they were released as singles.

Indeed, can't argue with that. On that basis, should the WWRY 'single' given away with one of the papers be included? This, of course, contained the version from the BBC Sessions.

It would be nice if they released a single boxset like Nirvana did.

They released 6 CD-singles in a box. Queen could make the original 7" into CD-singles. I know it would be like 50 singles, but they could released 5 boxes with 10 in each..

A bit more feeling than 10 CD's with a lot of songs. The "Single-feeling" disappers, I think. But of course, it still will be nice to have all the B-sides on originale releases.

I know it's not very likely, but just a thought...

No hard feelings or anything, but are you REALLY comparing Queen to Nirvana? How many singles have Nirvana released and how many have Queen released? It's a whole different ballpark, mate.

I'm as mad as HELL, and I'm not going to take this anymore!

Good point... but I guess it depends if they're going to go into promo single territory or just stick to the "official" single releases.
Are they going to include the A-sides as well? I mean, i´m tired of buying "WATC" and "WWRY".

If they are going to include the hits as they are on the Greatest Hits collection, then i think it was a wrong move to remove the "You don´t fool me" and "Under Pressure" remixes. If they need space, they should have removed what people already have or can buy!

But, i´ll wait and see. Maybe they´ll surprise me this time.

Take care
