How Pitiful, and this critic thinks it's good!

It was fitting then that Panic! chose to cover a song from the band many consider the granddaddy of showmanship, shtick and extravagance: Queen. What's more is this band, whose eldest member only recently turned 21, did a damn fine job with "Killer Queen." While the rendition may not have blown any minds, it was a solid demonstration of ownership.

Frontman Brendon Urie, fully conscious that his voice will never match that of Freddie Mercury, decided to capitalize on the spirit of the song, as if to say, "Isn't this a great song? We love playing it."

Well, I'm too lazy to download a video link that I don't have the correct player for, but I watched a live video of theirs on Youtube, and I must say that they did great! I'm not a P!ATD fan myself, but they really didn't do bad at all. I'd say it was just about on level with the original.

I thought it was really good!

Well... I wish the crowd would shut the fuck up...

I don't know how Queen did it live, but I would like to hear that before I really compared.

The instruments I like much better than the singer (except there was a part where the drums or something sounded annoying and slightly overpowering).

I've never hear these people before, and I don't think this song was really suited to this fellow's voice.

Freddie sounded very "light" and "airy" singing it - while this guy does have that on the high parts (though some of them sound really pushed - but I'm sure Queen changed notes for stage, as they usually did), he sounds darker - and lacking any sexual suggestion... like he was reciting and not really giving it feeling... or that could be because I couldn't hear as well as I would have liked over the crowd.

Is it sung in the same key ? His voice is so much "darker" sounding, and the crowd is having a fucking orgasm, I just can't tell. Or it could just be the changed notes...

I've never heard these "Panic ! At the Disco" people before, so I'm just judging from the one thing I just heard, not any prior disposition.
This confirmed what i already knew about P!ATD - that they're one of the best bands around today.
I think they did a really good job.

I think they are just another Fall Out Boy clone.[/QUOTE]
Creativity can always cover for a lack of knowledge.
Panic needs to die in a firey pit of hell, they have no right covering Queen.
It kinda both sad and nice to see all these emo or "emo" bands covering Queen songs these days, but Panic! did quite a good job here.

And so should Queen, because they have NO right covering Elvis...
Man. I love Panic, but this cover SUCKED with a capital "S". Seriously.
We are, we are the saints We signed our life away Doesn't matter what you think We're gonna do it anyway We are, we are the saints One day you will confess And pray to the Saints of Los Angeles
My computer isn't running youtube videos very well right now, but I don't think I need to see this. Panic is one of the most talentless bunch of emo-rock f*gs I've ever heard and seen in my life. I don't get the obsession with this band, they're so fucking annoying.

Agree with a capital "A".
