Favourite syllable sung by Freddie?

"JUST!...gimme a sign." from i want it all. gives me chills every time i hear it...

'Um'.
Closely followed by 'duh'.
But then again, in context 'doh' is rather appealing.
For minor keys 'ech' can hit the right spot if not over-stressed.
For those happy-go-lucky tracks I feel 'ure' is quite pleasing.

Personally, I thought Freddie was quite a genious in how he could string these different syllables into making complete words!

Who would have thought that seperate phrases like 'ure' and 'plesh' could be combined?

that's a great line : ) i like how he sings jenny's voice in a falsetto and jimmy's voice in a deeper tone.
i always liked the way he sang the last "i've been" in see what a fool i've been. it's heartbreakingly beautiful.

I'm not sure why, but I always liked it in bo rhap during the line "Beelzubub has a devil put aside for me" when they sing the second syllable of aside followed by the word "for". I guess I just like it because it's really high.

Alright, that was actually probably more Roger than Freddie, but oh well.

Another one I remembered:

Machines - "Its sex life is quanTISED" at 2:45. Have a listen...

Jazz / Dead On Time. At the very beginning Freddie does this elongated "ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh" that slides slightly uuuuuuup and dooooown the scale. I have actually thought of timing it ! but I don't have a watch with a second hand. In the car I put that baby on as loud as I can stand it, hit repeat on song 7, and play that "ooh" a gazillion times. Rats! I have to stop when I reach my destination. Darn. Darn. Darn.

It's hard to pin down one syllable, but one of my very very very favourites is where Freddie sings, "anymooooore" from Nevermore. The entire line being, "Please don't you cry anymore." It gets me everytime - it just makes my breath catch in my throat.

Oooooh.... ya know?
My favourite would be in the Queen version of "Made in Heaven" - in the middle of the song right before the solo, the line 'I wish it could last forever', always got me. Most of us would've heard the original beforehand, but when I heard the Queen version for the first time, and Freddie was, obviously dead by then... it was just a very nice moment of the song.
(I rate the guitar solo itself highly as well - up there with the solo from "Free as a Bird" which came out at around the same time!).

My favourite syllable is when Freddie hits that high note in "Mr Bad Guy" at the end of the line "I'm Mr Mercury".
