Why should there be a narrator?

Couldnt it just go on from the view of the guys.. every actual person being themselves and the story explaining itself from their point of views.

it should be named melina. and it should be narrated by peter freestone. mary would not want any part of it. considering she never wrote a book about him. she would want his life to be private.
