I don't care because I like the fact that he isn't going to try to make a singing career of it. He will be miming Freddie's recordings which is a HUGE relief to me.

I'm with you somewhat. The fact is, NOBODY can do Freddie justice. The guy I like for the part is Gael Garcia Bernal of the Motorcycle Diaries(Che).

There are two very positive things about Depp:

1.) He's the biggest movie star on the planet today.

2.) He's as good an actor as anyone around his age and is willing to put it all on the line with his roles.


That being said, we should wait until it happens and he fails before doubting him. His track record is just too damn good to throw him aside.

hey everyones opinions are different...

I think Johnny Depp is a nice choice.
He is a talented actor, and he looks like Freddie quite a lot better than many others.

I think it's a good idea.
