U2 can't be compared with Queen in any way. Queen is miles away. That guy called The Edge can't play a fuckin' solo on his "poppy sound" guitar. And Bono sings like a dog and he is a demogogue. I can't understand how they are worldwide famous. Totally overrated in my opinion. Sorry for my poor english.

This thread is pointless. Queen and U2 are pratically unrelated.
We all know there are no "problems" between them, they worked together on the Live Aid, U2 sent a song by satellite link to the FM Tribute gig, Bono and Queen worked on the 46664 gig, U2 featured a snippet of Queen at the Rainbow on their new video, and Brian wrote a note on his Soapbox last Sunday being all nice about U2 and Bono.
So I thought I wouldn't waste my time on another thread where I knew there would be idiots bashing U2 and Bono.
And no, I don't consider anyone who dislikes U2 an idiot. But people who say they "hate" U2 are a bunch of idiots. If you don't like the band, fine, shut the fuck up and don't bash them on every chance, there are people who like them.

Raf840, don't take offence at my posts. I never said 'I hate' - I don't like. By the way, I usually met people who if liked U2 didn't like Queen.

Bono is a good performer, but not a good singer. I agree with your views on The Edge. The bassist and drummer *could* be worth something, if they'd be able to do something more than play what the first two tell 'em to.

Bono is a good (yet not great singer).
As long as he stays within his vocal range, Bono is OK. The problem with Bono is that when he starts attempting falsettos and high notes that he clearly can NOT hit, then he sounds like shit.
Just listen to 'The Sweetest Thing'.
