I don't deny saying it, I just can't for the life of me remember how I worded it.
In any case - you don't have to be all that special to be better than Robbie Williams. I'm talking purely about performing. The guy has numerous pretty songs in his repertoire; I've never denied that!!

Pete Townshend.
In his day he was one of the best rhythm players in mainstream rock or R&B (the old meaning of the genre...) and a master of making pretty music with bare bones chords that any fool can play - he made absolute art with them.

As a lead guitarist, I seriously feel he's improved after 20 years off of the Who game. The guy is better than ever.
