Where does Chris Martin indirectly criticize Queen in that article?

Ok, I'm not going to get into a debate about this because I don't see any reason why I have to defend my musical tastes, but I love Coldplay, and I quite like U2. Just because Coldplay don't like Queen doesn't mean I have to hate Coldplay. One of my best friends doesn't like Queen.
Coldplay is one of my favourite bands. Their songs don't all sound the same, and I love the lyrics of them. Like in Fix You: "When you get what you want, but not what you need". I dunno, I just like them. *shrugs*

All in all, Coldplay are a good band. Of course not as good or versatile as Radiohead (how can you compare a VW Beetle with a Ferrari?) or others, but still good.
And U2 are the only band who have been together over 30 years and still haven't learnt how to play their instruments ;)
I fully agree! The thing that I dislike the most about U2 is that they are so weak on their instruments.Compare Queen's playing with U2's playing and you'll hear it very good. I have to say that they are quite original though.the edge is unique(but always the same)and bono tries to put emotion in his vocals altough his voice is weak

Since roger said coldplay are crap i think chris martin takes every opportunity to indirectly criticise or dismiss queen.
Article is from April 15, 2004 - I believe Roger's words about the Coldplay crap happened later (June 2005). And actually he said "everything they do sounds too similar", but not "crap". Though it is.
It is actually... Roger knew what he was saying... I had an evil smile on my face the day I heard this!!! MUhahahahahahahaha

Coldplay sucks ass. Chris Martin can't sing for shit! They're crap and overrated and all their albums are shit too. They've NEVER written a song that wasn't ENTIRELY derivative of either U2, Queen, Led Zeppelin or Pink Floyd. That song 'Yellow' is one of the worst pieces of crap I've ever heard. Those who seek out great music will find great music; Those that expect music to come to them(sold to them) get bands like Coldplay. Sorry if this offends anyone, but that's just the way I feel. They're REALLY crap. Nope, that won't work. Try again. Something like Oasis, who actually have talent. All 4 Queerplay...oh sorry...Coldgay members are unimaginative songwriters, they belong in the same vein of untalented musicians as Alanis Morissette, Mariah Carey, Britney Spears, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Shania Twain and co. Their live concerts are also very boring. Honestly, one of their songs was being shown on VH1, giving me my first exposure. But I couldn't help browsing away from the channel, it was THAT bad. I really, REALLY hope they breakup. I doubt they're criticizing Queen there since Roger expressed his opinion on the band almost a year after the article was published.
But seriously, Chris Martin is a fucking idiot. U2 is the biggest band in the world? Shut the fuck up you moron. You spelt "gauntlet" wrong too...asshole. Chris Martin likes sticking his tongue into Bush's ass.

Coldplay, thats exactly what they are cold talentless display, my band treasure moment is 1000000 better and so is Queen
btw U2 are garbage, talentless

Seb, why they're good composers?
- Just several chords: songs's structures are simple (I love good simple songs but they have just ONLY simple structure songs). No sequences (just vesre-chorus-sequences)
- Where is beautiful melodies?
- Where is songs's variety?
What make them at least good composers?
I confess, I've heard just several albums and one live album.
it would be cool to see what you think of my band
