Who's the greatest drummer? Guitarist? Bassist? I'm not even going to say vocalist. We all know who that is...

For me the world's greatest drummer has to be Buddy Rich. World's greatest guitarist, my God, there are so many! Well, for me it's always been Brian May. *shrugs* World's greatest bassist, well as great a bass player as John Deacon was he wasn't the best. Let's just say I have a thing for this guy:

You know why I think Roger is a great drummer...he's such a natural...it's like effortless to him...he doesn't have to pound down so hard on the drums-he can go fast and sound really good without doing that. Plus..he sings and drums-a lot of drummers don't do that.

Please dont think i was pointing the finger at you with that defensive business, lol, i mean people in general will berate you (on QZ that is) if you think some one else is better or what not. But your drumer comparisons are good as they a two very different artists and i think you need to listen to it with a difeferent appreciation for the two.

really?...ok...firstly...Roger was a frustrated guitarist....and opted for drums when he realised he wasn't good enough as a guitarist...so he ain;t a "natural" drummer

I just can't see the competition....the Mighty Thunderfingered Ox was simply the runaway best bassist...and I don't even LIKE this "who was the best" thing....
