In other news, yes OF COURSE, he would have had a better chance to survive with modern technology. I mean... there's proof that it's possible to "make it" (and for even a very long time) with today's technology to fight AIDS.

I think he would have survived longer.

I just think that, yeah.

I'd like to think with the benefit of hindsight that had freddie not had stop taking this medication and with willpower, support and encouragement he would have lived longer and with the research into the virus and better medication he would have lived on for 3 to 4 years.
