I listened to Radio GaGa and it's true, the similarity is stunning. This band should have a proper website :)
Meh, I'm sick of people trying to be Queen, I mean if they're so good why can't they just go and be an original band?
I really wish Tribute bands would stick to 'sounding' like their heroes. This 'lookalike' nonsense is doing him no favours... it's really beneath his dignity, because he's a fantastic singer (FAR improved from when I first saw him on TV).
Having said that, I wouldn't mind replacing their guitarist. Haven't played Queen much in a while!

Sounds like Freddie..? Oh please. A smidgen, maybe. But the only guy I've heard that is close, would be this video from a Montreux tribute gig - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3kmN-MLaHSw
True, some accent differences, but there's a genuinly distinct sound to his voice that's like Freddie at times. Check the other videos, too.
Adam.

Agreed. I also think this band should perform some of their own songs. How nice it would be to hear "Freddie's voice" in new material. :)

HAHA!
I always get a laugh out of the ridiculous Brian May wigs in these tribute bands.

Hmm... have you heard Valensia's stuff? Their Queen tribute album is very creative, and their original stuff can basically be seen as "new Queen", if you will.

I hadn't heard Valensia until I read this post and went in search of. :)
But, um... the jury is still out for me on that one. I'll have to give it another go...

You weren't....
I thought that too.-
There´s just one mistake some impersonators of Freddie do when they sing, even if they have a similar voice. They don´t pronounce like Freddie.
For example "Love of my Life" it´s not only a great song but it has a great poem and it´s universal. Now, that song requires matching perfect tone for each word. And if you´re trying to guive that classical mood to it you have to sing it with excellent pronounce. Well, in most cases singers don´t care about this unless they´re coached or have a great producer.
Freddie developeded this technique to perfection and in most cases that´s why Queen covers sucks. And they wonder why!! Sometimes guiving the right expression to the song is enough, but add that great Freddie´s tone and understanding of moods in the song and you have there almost the impossible to imitate.
Take care
