[QUOTENAME]YourValentine wrote: [/QUOTENAME]You are right. But it will still be so much easier to sync the master with Bob's audio because he did all the identification of the songs/parts of the songs.
Agreed. All the major ground work has been done.
To match now with the masters would be a doddle.
Run the 2 VT streams side by side 1 the master avi & 1 this ,and do the same with the superior audio to the lossy.
Adjust to match,..output.
You definatly are onto something with this Bob

Sympathy, your download broke connection during downloading so you do not have all of that part.
Just re-download that part again & all will be well.

OK. Anyway, I don't have the master. I'm avoiding any trades these days due to total reconstruction of my flat.

Thanks Again!!!
Thank you Bob! It looks very good. A really good job.
And a message for Sympathy: Probably there was some problem during your download and one of the files wasn't downloaded complete, so download the files again and try to extract them once again. It should help.
[QUOTENAME]928 wrote: [/QUOTENAME]What gen are the 8mm film Bob?Cant be from masters surely.
Yeah, this one is pretty high gen.
Big obvious sync difference towards the end(looks like wrong verse Bob)
The problem with Now I'm Here is that the video was slowed down (almost to a halt) just before Freddie throws the flowers. There was nothing I could do about that!
Shame about the high pitch squeal on the audio for some of the clips and i noticed a squelch or 2 on others.
Yeah, I know. The LA audio isn't fantastic. I'm getting a slight upgrade of that one soon, but like I said before, one day I'd like to redo this video, using Seattle as the prominent audio source.
I've tried a couple programs, but I'm still not completely happy with what I've found so far. What program do you use to convert DVD to lossless avi, and then to synch audio to video?
[QUOTENAME]YourValentine wrote: [/QUOTENAME]I think this is the best possible result syncing a mute video with no clues where the recording was cut and without having the actual concert sound - not to mention problems like different tape speed. The video quality is not the point because the audio would fit to any better generation as long as it's the same video. Compared with the old sound this is a 1000% improvement. Well done, Bob.
Awesome... thanks a lot, Barbara. :)

You and I both, my friend.

Hmm, I believe I replied to your last email regarding your collection, yes? Hope to hear from you soon about that.

Just because I gave him a few screenshots doesn't mean I actually own the master copy. It's common to provide screenshots during trade negotiations, but that doesn't always mean the trade was completed.

You have a point Bob. But strange that the master recently survived and some time after, you post the old version to Queenzone.
Same happend with the Houston tape. After a copy of the master was found someone converted this to NTSC and posted it on Queenzone. But no hard feelings.... thank for all your work you put into this.
