The point is, you people (and I mean the Page-bashers) seem to be completely unable to see the difference between a BAD and a DECENT THOUGH NOTHING REALLY SPECIAL guitarist. You want a bad guitarist? Try Noel Gallagher (Oasis). He can't play, and is arrogant about it ("scales are for fish"; he only ever plays one set of notes (the pentatonic scale) up and down, and has no feel for music or understanding of the underlying theory. And if you're missing BOTH of these, you are just piss-poor. What you guys keep talking about is a DECENT guitarist who is OVERRATED. That does not make him bad; it just makes the reviewers stupid.

Liam is a piss poor guitarist.

He's playing with Al Pacino again! This time, they're on the same side, even.

I never bashed Page. What the hell! I liked Achilles' Last Stand!
Huh? How did we go from Bob Dylan, to Jimmy Page, to Robert de Niro, to Al Pacino, and back over to Jimmy Page again?

I guess people really do get bored of Bob Dylan.

I didn't say that.

Haha, just kidding. I edited...I got bored with my original post. Forgive me oh grateful one.

When people bash Page, they only focus on his lack of technical ability. Creativity-wise, he was a God. No one has ever matched the quality and quantity of his catchy-yet-creative riffwork.

If you think of guitarists as pawns whose only responsibility is to perfectly represent a predetermined composition, then Page is nothing special.

But if you think of guitarists as not only a technical minion, but rather a creative element, then Page is one of the best.
Creativity can always cover for a lack of knowledge.
His riffs aren't that great.

Well, not 'his' but "someone's"

Since he stole everything.
