Freddie my friend is it raining in heaven? I bet your playing that piano up there and writing more songs with Elvis and John Lennon. What did you think of the recent Queen tour it would've been better with you there! From your friend Iain-James

If there's ever one person who had some influence on my life, it was freddie Mercury. I'm a drummer in a band, called Sequel, because of Freddie. I write songs because of Freddie. I learned how to sing because of Freddie. (Not like Freddie) I saw Queen Three times with Freddie and one time with paul rodgers. He is the only person in my life i look up to. He was (and still is) the greatest singer/performer/songwriter/entertainer of the world!! I still miss you every day Freddie.............

I've never had more fun watching a concert than when I watched my Queen Live at Wembley DVD. Those guys just had so much fun up there, especially that whole section when they do all those classics and oldies. God, that was so great! One thing that always impressed me with them is how optimistic their songs are, even when Freddie was dying his lyrics were still hopeful or even fun. And you know, the funny thing about how they sounded compared to other bands was that they actually sounded like they were having fun -- in Freddies voice, the music, the lyrics. Those bands in the late 80's and early nineties, the bands that were supposed be about endless parties and all that, the lyrics they sang may have SAID they were having fun, but it didn't really come across all that much did it? The singers voices, you compare their voices to Freddie, and you can hear how much fun Freddie is having and how happy he is doing what he's doing. Freddie didn't go on stage thinking and acting like he was the coolest guy in the world; he went on stage, goofed around and had fun, and put on one hell of a fun show. Just the opposite of most of those party band guys.
