It is true that Queen supported Sparks at the Marquee in 1972, and it looks like the only band they supported on their U.S tour in 1975, was REO Speedwagon at Dane County Coliseum on 6 March.

Songs They Attempted But Didnt Make It ON The Set
They rehearsed Long Away for the North American Tour in 1977 and very nearly included it in the set at the time. Mad The Swine was also played at a few shows in the UK around 1971/1972 and once in America in 1974.
