Anyone here with a fear of spiders? D:
I absolutely hate spiders. I've got something in between a fear and a phobia.
For example, if I see one in my house, I do my best to kill it. I don't want to find it in my bed or on the couch two hours later. However, I don't scream bloody murder and go into cardiac arrest if I find one in my room or on me. If one drops on me, though, I might go into a frenzy trying to get it off me and look like one of those windsocks hanging out in front of people's houses. xD
My family has a pretty big house, and part of it belongs to my Grandmother who doesn't even live with us anymore, and her sewing room is filled with spiders and webs and shit. X_X The other day I tried to get my Queen shirt out of there (It had a hole in it, though I don't know why it was in a sewing room that had been abandoned for two years XD) and it was quite scary. ;P
Here, we shall talk about fears of spiders, stories about spider encounters and arachnophobia. DISCUSS. ;P

I absolutely LOATHE spiders. I think they're like the lowest shits on earth...disgusting! Ugh! I have a horrible fear, and like as soon as I see one...I WILL go into cardiac arrest, and scream...and then I'll run away to my room. And even after that, I'll have spasms and seizures as if a spider is still on me or something. It's really gross...There's a huge yellow one outside my house right now...and I want to kill it. Really badly. X_X I HATE THEMMMMM ;_;!
Someone please squash it for me..

What a convenient time to make this thread..! I was gonna check the mail, and a huge spider ran into my house! Careful word- choice there; it ran really fast, too. xD
While I don't enjoy having spiders crawl on me, I'm not scared of them. In fact, I'm usually the one who takes the a piece of paper and throws the spider outside. :P

I have to say it - scurry. <shudder> That's the alternate word, yes? The very sound of it conjures up some pretty frightening mult-legged creatures in my mind. OMG. The words "multi-legged" apparently have the same effect on me...
In all honesty, I don't mind spiders - not if they're outside somewhere. I figure, that's their house, so who am I to say a word about it? Also, I don't mind spiders that aren't moving. It's when those skinny little hairy legs get to twitching that the paralyzing tingles shoot up and down my spine. OMG... and when they walk/run/scurry/stretch or whatever you want to call it... damn it to freakin' hell. I can't stand it. No matter how brave and mature I try to be, it just doesn't happen for me.
One day, ages ago, I found one of those chunky spiders in my house - you know the kind. The Rocky Balboas of spiderworld. Well, I figured, who better to kill a spider than... my cat. :-) I scooped her up and showed her the spider. It took a while for her to realize what it was, I guess, because she just sat there like she was expecting to be brushed or something. Well, when that dang spider started to move, I screamed so loud, I scared myself! Must have scared my sweet little killer kitty, too, because she bolted from the room, leaving me and a twitchin' eight-legger all alone. The best I could do was run to the kitchen, grab a glass, and cup it over the nasty critter. Thankfully, a friend of mine came over that evening and laugingly took the glass and spider into the yard.

^ Ah, yes! I forgot about the spider- alternative of "run".. Thanks! :P
The Rocky Balboas of spiderworld. xD
One of my cats loves to eat spiders! Not like, giant wolf spiders, but like the tiny little black house spiders that you find on your wall sometimes. All we have to do is put her in front of it and she bats it around with this huge white paw and scares it to death. Then she eats it. XD

lol! You sound like me! I am so terrified of them when they are running that I can't even kill them! My son has always wanted a pet tarantula, and I told him that the day he brought one home would be the day he moved out ;-) About two months ago he came home grinning and told me he had got a new pet. I said "You didn't!" He said "Absolutely not!" Turns out, he bought a scorpion *Yikes*! I told him that Mr. scorpion had to live elsewhere, so he now resides at my son's workplace.
;-)
