The worst album? I remember once, back in the 70's going in to Woolworths and browsing through their record collection. It was all old vinyl in those days.
I remember coming across a record called Fire and Water. Splattered across the cover was the word "Free". Well, not one to look a gift horse in the mouth I took the "gift" and walked out of Woolworths to take my bargain home.
Obviously I never made it past the elevator before I was stopped. It turns out that it wasn't Free at all but rather ambitiously priced at £1.99.
Just a note of caution to everyone out there. Don't always believe what you read on the label.

Anything by the Smiths or Morrisy and Mika, I had to stop listening to the radio when Grace Kelly was popular cos the song drove me mad. It's ok the first time you hear it but the 10th time grrr!

Umm...I don't listen to shity albums. If I hear some song or new single on TV that is making my ears bleed I don't listen to that album where that shit came from or just ignore it, so i couldn't honestly tell what is in my opinion the worst album

Any U2 album since 'Achtung Baby' (yes I've seen the debates here. Other than one or two songs per CD, they suk). 'Rattle and Hum' has some great stuff, but was a huge disappointment.
Freddie Mercury 'Mr. Bad Guy'...from the cover, to half of the lame disco influenced garbage, it stunk. And still does.
Journey ....anything in the late 80's.
Genesis 'Calling All Stations'...wtf??
Kiss 'The Elder'...yup
Queensryche 'Tribe'...lazy, lazy, lazy
Jethro Tull ' A Passion Play'
Dream Theater 'Systematic Chaos' and 'Train of Thought'............Metallica meets Journey.

...that's exactly the reason why I don't like it! Kiss where never good musicians (exept Eric Carr R.I.P.), but great songwriters & entertainers. When I want to hear skilled musicians, I listen to other stuff but not to Kiss ;-) (..and The Elder is cheesy as Hell, "A world without Heroes"..Aaaarrrggghhh)

Hmm, although I actually like all U2 albums, I have to agree Zooropa and Pop aren't really wonderful, U2 took the whole Achtung Baby/Zoo TV joke too far and most people weren't likely to enjoy those two albums... But come on, All That You Can't Leave Behind is great. To me, it was their "return" to "good" music.

Except for the Barcelona album and maybe one or two tracks, Freddie's entire solo career was dance/pop crap. He was the best frontman a band could've ever had... But without a good band, he sucks.
