I love the lineup with Eric, the Sydney '80 show is one of my favourite concerts on DVD. I was lucky enough to get both Kissology volumes at my last visit in the US, they are not available here in Germany (the old SS's problem..) The Fox gave them a lot more punch on stage, but the crisp-clear popish sound on Unmasked & "Shandi" where to much...that's why I prefer Alive I&II!

I agree, The Fox had a much better sound than Peter Criss (sorry to any PC fans), and Alive! was an incredible album. Hope you liked Kissology!

HTDAAB was soundwise similar, but way too mellow. I expected the album to be more rock oriented and it sounded more like Coldplay album.
Any U2 album since 'Achtung Baby' (yes I've seen the debates here. Other than one or two songs per CD, they suk). 'Rattle and Hum' has some great stuff, but was a huge disappointment.

ATYCLB is a lot more "mellow" than HTDAAB. But I like it better anyway. I didn't use to enjoy HTDAAB much... With all the "Vertigo" fashion, the song playing everywhere, people buying the Vertigo iPod, people talking about the Vertigo tour nonstop, the Vertigo live from Chicago DVD selling out, etc I kinda had the impression the whole album was just a collection of "fillers" to go with Vertigo and make them some money. But once people "calmed down" and forgot about it for a bit, I realised the album is very good, actually better than some of their previous work (Pop, Zooropa, [hate me now] and October - October is very good, but it kind of bores me).

ATYCLB is a lot more "mellow" than HTDAAB. But I like it better anyway. I didn't use to enjoy HTDAAB much... I thought 'In Rainbows' was quite decent. Half the songs on that album are OK, and the other half don't quite thrill me.

I just feel like hearing artsy experimental synth noises on a whole album is just plain fuckin' boring.
