I'd think twice before throwing accusations at this girl.

We all know what a slut Britney is, but I haven't heard about her sister being bad or anything. PMA, what the heck is wrong about not being a virgin at the age of 16? At least, as pointed out in the article, it happened with a long-time boyfriend. And condoms aren't 100% safe. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that guy is the only guy she's ever had sex with and they always wore a condom.

No offense, but I think lots of people here are judging this girl just because of her surname.

To all the adults who posted here... At what age did you lose your virginity? I doubt most of you waited until you were married, or waited until you were adults.

I don't know much about this girl and her behaviour. But from the article we can't tell whether she's like her sister or whether she's a nice girl who was unlucky to have issues with a broken condom. But considering what the press is like, if this girl was really sluttish or a troublemaker, there would be articles about her everywhere. I don't know about the rest of you, but if *I* was low enough to have a tabloid or magazine to write about celebs, I'd always keep an eye out for the Hilton and the Spears families.

Wow. Hahahahaha.
I just think people should have the chance to live their own life before they bring another into the world. I know 12 teenage mums, 10 of them have to bring up their baby without the father as one can't remember who it is and the rest of the fathers decided they wanted nothing to do with their child. One of the teenage mums only has the father there because their parents forced them to get married. 11 of them only just scrape by on the benifit. All of them had to give up their secondary education to look after their child. Two of them had twins when they were 15. Only one of these young mums seems happy with her life.

That's what I find a shame; Jamie-Lyn may be a really great person and supposedly know what she's doing, but a hell of a lot of young teens don't, and the publicity she's recieving and the fact she is a role model for young girls just doesn't bode well.
"Either this kid has a lightbulb up his ass or his colon has a great idea"
I don't think this is much of an issue about teenage sex. C'mon let's be honest. Most of us did it or would have done it if we were given the chance.
The big issue here is that she's one of those naive teenage girls who trusts her boyfriend when he says:

DON'T WORRY BABY, I SWEAR I'LL PULL OUT RIGHT ON TIME!

Haha. This whole Spears thing is becoming comic genius.

I do agree with Raf completely though.

Do you really think she wants to have the child Frey?? Or is she forced by her beliefs (or her moms) to keep the baby. She should learn from Britney's mistakes. Her life went downhill when she kept the kid. A 16 year old girl shouldn't have a kid period.

Be honest. Maybe my choice of words were a bit harsh, but you know what i mean.

Are the Spears white trash?... you bet.

Religious freaks?... I don't know. I highly doubt that Britney Spears goes to church on Sunday morning after having a hangover from a Saturday night party with Lindsay and Paris.

As a teenage female, I know for sure that if I got pregnant by mistake I'd WANT to keep that baby, there is no way I'd have an abortion. In my opinion it is only the "right" thing to do in very extreme circumstances.

I agree that a 16 year old will find it hard to bring up a child, and she is too young, but she's not necessarily going to follow in here sisters footsteps.

We aren't talkin about you Frey.
The topic is about Jamie and she's has risk factor written all over her with her career, celebrity, background, youth. Of course she's going to face the same problems any adolescent parent faces, but not every 16 year old girl's every move is watched by the world.

You're missing my point.

So basically, what you're saying is, because she's a celebrity and the press follow her round she should automatically have an abortion regardless of her feelings? Oh yeah, that makes sense.

I'm pro-abortion, I think each woman should be given the right to abort a baby if they don't wanna carry it, or feel they won't be able to give the baby a good life, or whatever. But they should also be given the right to keep the baby.

Burak, I'm sorry, but there's more than just religion. Maybe for us men it's a bit harder to understand, but try to imagine yourself in her shoes. Several girls *DO* develop feelings for the baby, Burak. We all know some of them have the guts to abort. Others simply choose not to do it.

Let's face it. That girl is a fucking millionaire. She can afford the best doctors to make sure there won't be bad consequences to her body for having a baby at such a young age, she will be able to give her baby a good home, good food, good doctors, take him/her to a very good school... She basically has much less reasons to abort the baby than a poor girl whose parents can barely afford their own food. Not to mention the boyfriend's family seems to be involved in the story too, so apparently the father of the baby will be present too.

So, even though it happened "by accident", I don't see why she NEEDS to abort. She should do it if she feels like doing it. If she doesn't, we definitely can't blame her, we know she has all the conditions to give her baby a good life. If she's as responsible as she seems to be (yes, I DO believe she's responsible... If you're in Britney's family AND you're a celeb yet your name hardly ever is mentioned in cheap tabloids, that's probably because you don't really do much shit), she'll be a decent mother. MUCH better than her 10 years older sister.

I hope she'll do a good job in keeping herself, her boyfriend and the baby away from papparazi.

Besides, nannies will be raising the kid anyway. Maybe this could be a good career move for her. ;-)

It's all speculation. Sure she has the right to keep the baby, but that doesn't mean it's the right thing to do. Don't know how long she's carrying the baby, but you can't say she already has the same motherly feelings when it's just a few weeks. I'm not saying religion is the only reason for keeping the kid, but it happens a lot. Especially among conservatives. She fucked up, but that doesn't mean she has to put up with it. It's not fair for the kid.

So this doesn't have to with me being a guy, we just don't know what the reason is she wants to keep it. But i don't think the reasons are all thought through well enough.

I think this is great news for Britney.
For once she'll have the media off her ass.

Well, maybe not...

Just commenting as a woman who has carried a child, I found out I was pregnant at 4 and a half weeks, and from the moment that my doctor confirmed it, I was totally in love with that baby. I agree that the age of 16 is way too young to become a mom. But she has now put hers
