... well, my musical ear is quite poor, but it sounds to me like a rather good rendition, and a very nice tribute ...

IMVHO & FWLIW as usual

she has the same range as freddie and has no problem hitting the notes, the problem is that she doesnt sing the song with emotion like freddie or has the same power, voice or feeling as freddie, then again no one does or will ever have that.

I thought it was a pretty good tribute, not the best cover, I've always liked her voice. I do agree though that she does not have the same power or emotion that Freddie did.
Ok -- for all the wrestling fans out there...

To quote Booker T.

"TELL ME...I didn't just see that....."
I thought it was fantastic. Not many people can do The Show Must Go On justice, but Celine did. One of the best covers of a Queen song, I think. The band was spot on, too.

Not only did she sing the song, she paid a tribute to him. She had clips of him on the screen.

Any one who complain over this in any way needs to get a fucking life.
you are right, i didnt watch enough to see the tribute talk so now that ive seen it i feel better about her, still she should not attempt to do the impossible and think she can sing a Queen song but it was a tribute so its ok.
do i hear right? TM is allowing someone to be a good singer and call it a tasteful tribute ?

mark your calendars folks! hes posessed >.<

anyway, celines new album is actually quite excellent. she is using her range to her full potential, unlike never before, and is broadening her styles (which is relieving). i was impressed. she did a good job in this clip. way to go celine! definitly one of the better covers ive heard lately.
why pay the visit when the visit is free? "this shitty guitar wont play what i want! it only knows three chords!"

Honestly, I thought it was one of the best covers of a Queen song!
She is an excellent singer in my opinion and it's nice to see she's a Queen fan.
I liked it very much.
i sign this too!

She is great singler and it's good to know there are still Queen fans in 'these days musicians'.

God bless her! great!
I thought TSMGO was excellent...honestly, the truest to the original I've yet heard.

Not so certain about WWRY...I don't know that Celine will ever be a rock and roll god...
It is all random
I'll agree with you here on this, TM. While she did a lovely job, it was lacking something...couldn't put my finger on it, however, you just nailed it.

I like Elton John's version much more than this one.
I still feel Celine's voice is not suited to rock & and roll.I saw her do AC/DC once.I hated it.
Pop Goddess yes-rock & roll no,not IMO.
Yeah, no doubt. But, that is what made Freddie so great...he could sing those wacky notes with delicate precision, and, also, sing a like a rock god. At least Celine got one thing right.
[QUOTENAME]*Rain Must Fall* wrote: [/QUOTENAME]
[QUOTENAME]Dusta wrote: [/QUOTENAME]I thought TSMGO was excellent...honestly, the truest to the original I've yet heard.

Freddie sang any type of song very well.Anything he did he put his whole heart into it,and Celine does not imo.I love her ballads and her voice but not with this song.
I like to think if Freddie were still alive he and Celine just might have done a duet. That would have been f**king great.
I've often thought about Freddie doing duets(just fantasies, really about hearing more of his music)...even with Stevie Nicks...I know Nicks doesn't have that technical ability, however, she had that...something, which Freddie had in spades, and, HIS technical ability would have balanced them out perfectly.

But, yeah, he and Celine could have made beautiful music together. I'm quite certain Freddie would have composed something beautiful, and, unique.

I agree. That would have been amazing. I have been thinking along the same lines of Freddie doing duets recently. There are so many people he could have worked with. I am sad he never did.
Nice Gesture, but dont do it again love.
