I hate it when people say "The world is going to hell." I study history...the world has ALWAYS been hell. It's not any worse now than before. The important thing is to look for the good, and try to make good things happen around you to increase the beauty in the world.

I just find it difficult to see anything good in this world. It could be the fact that I'm maturing and becoming more aware of things. Or, it could just be the fact that I've suffered a lot, and have become a pessimist.

well you see everything a person ever does is selfish. There are 2 ways of being selfish, either by giving, being nice, generous, thinking of others all the time or by doing the opposite and just think of yourself, taking etc.
You might ask how being generous and giving to things is selfish but it is because everything a person ever does is for him/herself.

well you still do it because you would feel even more bad if you didnt. Its about making yourself feel good in the end no matter how you do it.
