I'm looking forward to seeing this movie.

I was bored. At least, I now know how to survive a nuclear explosion.
I loved it! Pretty much exactly what I expected and hoped for.
A few too many utterly silly moments in the film for me.
There's still a lot that I liked, but... hmm.

It was very average and mis-titled.
Should have been called "...and the seamless handover of the franchise"

Actually, what annoyed me on that score was that they were doing a very decent job of handling that rather unseemly task -
Until the rather obvious symbolism with the hat at the end. I mean, come on...

saw it this afternoon, definitely worth the matinee, maybe not full price but it's not a wait-for-the-rental, or our friend Brant the Ripper, either. I would rank it imho a bit below Raiders & Crusade, but above Doom. fun!

PG's spot on. The only thing missing from this disappointing Lucas/Spielberg "Greatest Hits" compilation was the shark.

I GOT A FEELING
A FEELING DEEP INSIDE
OH YEAH
OH YEAH
The scene where Indy gets his hand cut off by Cate Blanchett was the best, I think. She is a killer with that rapier.

Tell that to Indiana "Stumpy" Jones. He'll never juggle again :(

But funny. Quite funny.
I was expecting a Short Round - "I am your father" scene.
THINGS I AM NOW AWARE ABOUT THE INDIANA JONES SERIES:
Raiders Of The Lost Ark - Still timeless, even watching now. Pretty much a Star Wars, you know where you were when you first saw it.
Temple Of Doom - Created the PG-13 rating because of the combination plate: Open Heart Surgery & Monkey brains. This also makes it a "classic", even though it sucked. It re-defined movie-going.
Lost Crusade - Showed that Harrison can still carry a film and it's time for Connery to hang it up. But it was quite watchable.
Crystal Skull - Showed that Hollywood Homicide wasn't THAT bad of a movie.

I wrote a massive review of the film the other day, but rather than post that, I'll just say I thought it was worth a 7 out of 10 against a 10 for Raiders, a 9 for Crusade and an 8 for Doom (although thats actually my fave of the three for sentimental reasons!).
Its good, its fun and exciting, and the action pieces are great (I agree with the guy above who said the opening 45 mins are really good), but its a bit overblown in places, the CG driven "suspend your disbelief" moments are too big and go far too far even for an Indy film, and it really needs an "Indy moment" where he pulls out of a desperate situation just as all seems lost, but that doesnt make it a bad film!
As for handing over the franchise - Im praying they dont do anything that stupid with it!
