You can criticize it's lyrics, that fact that it's not Freddie and not Queen and not highly original

but

....just sit back relax and listen to first class musicians making excellent music.

That's the deal ... and they are not going to be with us for ever just enjoy !!!!
Time To Shine and Say It's Not True are great, C-Lebrity and Time To Shine have good things about them, but Warboys, Cosmos rocks and Call Me are just so NOT-QUEEN that it's easy to feel a let down, and personally I find it less interesting than Free or Bad Company even.

School's Out/Surf's Up has that Red Special juice to it and it alone gives me hope, but I just cannot fathom how solo Taylor and May clearly tops this album. At least the tour will follow, and man oh man can PR tour with Queen in a way totally fantastic, even if it's not to be parrallel with a good album.
I honestly think the musicianship is excellent (although not very original) and that is enough for me.

On a playing basis it doesn't get much better than these people.
Say it's not true remains my fav but I like a lot also Cosmos rocking (probably Brian's), Still Burning (definitely Brian's), Small (probably Roger's), We Believe and Some Things That Glitter (they have a lot of Elton's style), Time to shine...
The start of We Believe when the acoustic guitar enters reminds me the start of On My Way Up...

Yes, some songs are a little crappy, like Call Me, but they are fillers, there were also in the old albums... but in the album as a whole there is no song I really dislike.
Fist class musicians + Paul Rodgers. Making... crappy music.

It lets me down. A lot.

Ummm..... I just heard the whole thing start to finish and would like to rotate in a 180 degree direction and say that album samplers and incomplete low quality tracks can really, really hide the goodies and make something great sound terrible.

THIS ALBUM FREAKING ROCKS!

I apologize for my misguided comments because I was totally wrong.

Hooray for Brian, Roger and Paul.
I don't need good quality to tell good songwriting from bad songwriting. If a song works, you can play it on a single acoustic guitar and you'll get the idea. It has always worked this way.

Telling from what I've heard so far, these songs are the most boring uninspired songs I've ever heard from May and Taylor.

Dull, dusty and lame. So sad to say it like that.

Queen is over for good now. They used to be miles ahead from the rest, but now they're just a sad copy of a 3rd class rockband having nothing to say or to prove.

...yeah, I had a good laugh at that one too.
Gentleman, you can't fight in here - this is The War Room!
AWESOME album, I really enjoyed listening to this album!
Forget about Queen, this is a new creature!
Enjoy the music folks!
Cheers!!!
Please will you direct me in the right way?
Yes, it's Queen+Paul Rodgers...I've been supporting them getting together since I first heard about it...

I've been a Queen fan since I was 3...maybe younger, I don't really remember...

I admit it, I'm guilty of downloading...but I live in the US, and I think it's crap we have to wait until the 28th of October, whereas the rest of the world gets it on the 15th...don't get me wrong, I'm happy for everybody else out there...but why do we get the shaft...

I'm going to say this, and I know alot of people will hate out on me for it...yes there's a few good songs...maybe the rest will grow on me in some way, but I was not impressed. Even as Brian May being one of my biggest musical heroes and inspirations for ME being a musician, I was really let down. The album as a whole does seem weak. This band is very much capable of more than what they just put out. Quite honestly, it sounds and feels very much like product. No offense to the band, they are beyond phenomenal. As a fan, I'll be at the shows. But buying it when it comes out in October...not really sure at this point...
