Oh do try and keep up.
It's not my fault that you can't construct an argument that makes sense.
You mean that you can't follow an argument.
Go back and try again. Or not, seeing you're someone who thinks Cosmos is a great piece of work
Err.. no. You said Roger is the type of person who would attack a newspaper vendor. I asked you for proof: you quoted the names of two songs to me. I asked you to explain that, but you haven't bothered. AND if you bother to actually read what I say instead of just spouting off nonsense, I said I thought the album was just okay. Now do you want to try again?

Sorry halfwit. I said by his standards today as demonstrated on "Warboys" he wouldn't attack Murdoch, but the guy on the corner selling his newspapers.
Again, do try and keep up.

Firstly, why the insults?
Secondly, I explained to you that Warboys could have a different meaning than you think. You ignored that. So once again, provide some proof of what you're saying: explain yourself fully and clearly.
btw, are you willing to admit you are wrong when you said " seeing you're someone who thinks Cosmos is a great piece of work" or are you just going to ignore that too?
Again, do try and keep up.

I ignored it because I don't agree with it because the lyrics are pretty obvious and dumb quite frankly, and I'm not the first person to have criticised the lyrical content. To suggest the song could have another meaning is a little weak when it's there in black & white. It's not something like "Radio Ga Ga" for instance.
Look up ambiguous lyrics.....you half wit.

Nasty little turd aren't you. The lyrics are ambiguous. It takes a certain amount of intelligence to be aware of that, which means that you can't see it.

They were actually going to change the name of the Band before the Album release... But then would you know who they are if they changed the name?
I think people have to not look at it as Queen. Its Queen and Paul Rodgers, a new band a new sound, new music... if you dont like it then fine.
I personally like it, its nice new fresh material, I like Blues music, so im quite a big fan of what they have done...
It cant be that bad the album... The sold out the tour...
If they had a new name... Would they sell out a tour... Some how i dont thinks so...
Good luck to them, And they are doing what they enjoy so hats off to them!

I was a huge queen fan when freddy was alive, i thought when he died so did queen. I went to sheffield for the Q&PR tour and was plesantly suprised at how well it worked. I have listened to this new album, and again i like it. Its not the queen of old, but a new queen. Some people have to get over this. Freddie is dead, maybe they should not use the queen name, but hey nobody got hurt, its only a name and an album.

I agree with the post. It`s like they have waited for a decent, very long , period of mourning to pass, and have started anew. A new Queen.

Cosmos Rocks, a sad footnote to an illustrious career.
Seeing a favourable review of anything Queen related is like finding water on the moon - impossible!!!
The press have always hated them but on this occasion I will give some creedence to the critic.
Making comparisons with Freddie Mercury in Queen is inevitable - living on past glories is one common reference.

Ken8:
I'm sure you'll quote this and then tell me I'm wrong without actually reading my post nor taking any of it in. Then you'll tell me I'm stupid and that you're right and I'm wrong. Then you may possibly throw your rattle out of the pram and tell me how you're the guy who's been listening to queen since the beginning so you're more qualified to tell me what I should like then I am. But hey, that's just how you roll.
The new Queen+ Paul Rodgers album is awesome. Paul has one of the best voices in music today, up there with Roger Daltrey. The guy can embrace so many styles, as he proved in Sheffield by not only singing queen songs confidently and with full understanding of the content but by adding new life and meanings of his own to them. It is the skill of a great musician and singer to be able to do that.
I think it comes down to what you listen to the original queen for. I love the fact that each were fantastic musicians and seemed to compliment each other perfectly. One of the reasons i only own two queen solo albums (Back to the light and Shove it) is for this reason. I wouldn't buy a Mercury solo album, his work is like the solo work of John Lennon to me...his great stuff was great, the rest was mediocre.
Again, that is just my opinion.
This topic reminds me of the people who hate Pink Floyds 'The Final Cut'. They let the fact Dave Gilmour was being arrogant and so doesn't really appear on the album get in the way of a beautiful album.
And this album has many highlights. And the whole album is of a great level. If the fact that zombie Freddie doesn't appear on it makes you dislike it, then you really didn't even deserve the oppurtunity to listen to it. There was only one way you could have viewed it.
Personally, I am now waiting eagerly for news of 'The Cosmos Rocks 2' :D

Another half wit response. I keep saying, considering the talent involved, this is well below their par.

The sad thing about "Cosmos Rocks 2" is that this current album has already lowered the expectations for what consists a Queen album...
In two years there will be reviews saying TCR2 is the best album Queen has made in 20 years, and that's accepted as a great compliment and an aknowledgement that using the Queen name was the right thing to do. :P

And you're already looking forward to that. :D
Yes, its the only reason I hope they make another album..;) Maybe everyone will say how much Paul sounds like Freddie for the same reason :D
